Partying for Days

I promised pictures from my Christmas! It has taken me a few days because I seriously celebrated Christmas for 5 days! You would not believe how blessed I am to have THAT MUCH family who all wanted to celebrate with me. I will have to give you a condensed version because blogger would shut me down for telling you everything, but it all started on Tuesday.
I had begun feeling a bit better using the antibiotics from the doctor (remember those ear infections). We had a typical morning and nap time and then we went to Granny Conner's house. This was going to be CELEBRATION #1. I got to play until all the grown ups were there and then we ordered Pizza King. I ate 4 breadsticks and 2 bites of pizza and then I was energized and ready for anything! Tabatha passed out a lot of presents and when she was done mommy said I could TEAR OFF THE WRAPPING PAPER! I started tearing and underneath all the pretty paper I found toys and clothes for me. Levi and Mason got to open lots of stuff, too. As soon as we were finished we began playing with our new toys and let the grown ups watch granny open her gifts. We also just let them begin wondering where they would put all these toys when getting home!!! We stayed at granny's house until it was time for bed and when I got home I laid right down for mommy and daddy.
I slept really well Tuesday night and when I woke up Wednesday morning, mommy and daddy said, "MERRY CHRISTMAS." I got my diaper changed and just happened to look in the living room. OH MY GOODNESS it was time to open MORE PRESENTS and Santa had been to my house!!! Right in the middle of the room was a tent with balls in it. I went right for it to check things out. Can you believe that I get to throw the little balls all over the living room and not get in trouble? This is going to be a really neat toy. I also got to open presents that were under the tree. I got so many nice things that I just KNOW I'll love playing with. I ate some breakfast, played and then napped just a little bit.
When I woke up it was time for CELEBRATION #3. We went to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Filler's house. All my cousins were there and I got to play some more. We had a great lunch. I ate lots of ham and mashed potatoes! Then it was time to open MORE PRESENTS!!! Everybody was so nice to think of me and get me things that I could play with. We took lots of pictures of me and my cousins with my great grandparents. Then we played some more.
Eventually mommy said we had to get our coats because it was about time for CELEBRATION #4.
We drove to Marion for Christmas at Grandma and Grandpa Penticuff's house. My Aunt Emily and Tim were there from Texas and so were Adam and Christy. Much to mommy's surprise, I ate again!! This time lasagna. After we ate it was time to open more presents!! I let mommy help me a bunch this time but I was still very excited about everything!
After such a day of playing, I began to really feel tired. I told my parents that we should probably go home even though we were having so much fun. I put on my PJ's and we headed for home. Mommy and daddy actually let me fall asleep in the car (they never do that)!! The next thing I knew, I was in my comfortable bed!
Friday morning we were a little lazy. I got to play with some of my toys...but honestly my living room was a WRECK with gifts everywhere, so I just played with a few gifts and then we decided to check out the mall for after Christmas sales. I really didn't care about sales and neither did mommy and daddy. We mainly went so I could ride the Christmas Train one more time and run around. I later learned that my parents wanted me to get tired so I would take a good nap!!!
I did exactly what they wanted (as far as a nap) and then it was time for ANOTHER CELEBRATION! We went to Grandma and Grandpa Filler's house. Levi was already there watching Madagascar! We watched for a few minutes and then everybody sat together at the table and had another big dinner. I ate lots of corn and roast and beans and then played with Levi while our family finished up.
You know what happened next!! Time for more presents!! We had fun opening everything and then there was something else special about to happen. For weeks now my grandparents haven't let us in the computer room. I was beginning to get a little upset because me and Levi loved playing in there and all at once the door was SHUT and everything was off limits. Mommy couldn't even go in there!!!
Well grandma said tonight was the night we could go back in to our favorite room. All the adults went in first. Well, Aunt Sara was nice enough to stay with me and Levi and the others left us! Then they said, "COME IN!" You won't believe it!!! Grandpa and Grandma had been working hard for weeks and they revealed our BRAND NEW PLAY ROOM!!!! (It is me and Levi's room cause the new baby will be too little to play in there.)
So anyway, this room is G-R-E-A-T! We have a diner with a kitchen, Mickey Mouse Playhouse, a slide, a ball pit, a picnic table and all kinds of toys! We even have all the characters of Madagascar (which is my favorite movie)!! Oh man, we played in there the rest of the NIGHT! We went down the slide about 400 times and we played in the balls and we just checked out the whole room. Both of us were so happy!! The walls of our room even made us happier because there are balloons all over it (and it is the hundred acre woods from Winnie the Pooh)!
We played until we couldn't play anymore! Daddy and Lawrence opened up our new big kid beds for us to see. We got Winnie the Pooh beds that we can actually take with us whenever we stay at somebody elses house. You'll have to check them out in the pictures, they are great. NO BARS like on our cribs at home.
So we played until bed time again and then had to go home. SATURDAY WE HAD 2 MORE CELEBRATIONS!!! I woke up and we left right away for Grammy and Grandpa Douglas's house! I got to open more presents with mommy's help and I played a ton with grandpa! We ran around the house so much that I am sure he had to take a good nap when I finally left!!! I thought for sure this was our last stop and that I had definitely had the best Christmas ever in the whole wide world.
However, when we left, mommy said we had ONE MORE CELEBRATION! We went to Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie's house for ANOTHER CHRISTMAS! I got to meet my Great Uncle Jim and Great Aunt Deanna for the first time ever (they live in California). I also got to meet my cousins and I was quite taken with Darren. I made sure to play with him a bunch. You wouldn't believe how tall he is!! He is taller than daddy and WAY younger than daddy. Maybe all people from California are that tall...I sure know my whole family from California is!
Right in the middle of the celebration I had to go home and take a nap, but my parents promised we'd go back when I woke up. SOOO, I slept for a while and then we headed back to party!!! We got back just in time for more food!!
Food and play time is what I had the rest of the night. And I also got to open the rest of my presents that I missed when we left for my nap. We stayed until almost bed time again! I was beginning to get the routine down pat! Play - eat - presents- play - bed!!! That is exactly what I did, too.
Oh, and I know you think it stops there....but it doesn't. Sunday morning when I woke up my living room was CLEAN and all my toys were in their places so I could see everything! The Christmas tree was gone and that was depressing, but I did get to play a bit before church. Then I had church, then I spent the afternoon with Aunt Emily and Grandma Penticuff, then church, and then PARTY TIME AGAIN!!!
No, not another Christmas, but we had a game night at my house and had my Sorrell family over. Christy got Guitar Hero World Tour for the Wii and so I got to try out the drum set! I ran around with Grandpa Penticuff and laughed and squealed until I nearly fell over, I ate LOTS of meatballs....and just as I thought the party was really getting started.....mommy and daddy said it was bed time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I thought about arguing with them. But really, people, how can I argue when I have just had a wonderful 6 days with all my family?!? It really tires a girl out and makes her realize that she is SOOOOO blessed to be SOOOOO Loved!!!
So, that was the SHORT version...I PROMISE it could have been longer!!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, too. And Carol, I hope you are feeling better! Mommy told me you didn't feel too good the last few days and so I hope you are MUCH BETTER NOW! I've been thinking about you!!!

I Only Have 2 Ears

I only have two ears and they are both sick! I just got back from visiting the doctor and she says I have 2 ear infections!!! There are so many wonderful things happening around me and I just don't feel good. Let me catch you up on what has been happening.
Saturday I got to go to the mall and ride the Santa Train and another train that they had. I wasn't feeling the greatest, but I managed to enjoy a little bit of it. I got to walk around with daddy and Grandpa and Grandma Penticuff while mommy sang in the church choir.
Sunday morning we went to church and I really didn't even play so mommy knew I must have felt really badly. After church I came home and slept and slept and slept. When I woke up we decided to try and go to my Aunt Emily's engagement party. She drove all the way from Texas for Christmas. I tried to have a great time and had my moments. It was good to see Aunt Emily and Tim and a lot of my family. Grandma carried me around a lot and that helped to keep my mind off of not feeling well.
When we left the party we came straight home. We decided not to even go to the Christmas service at church because I just didn't think I could make it through it! I perked up a little bit when grandpa, grandma and Aunt Emily came over. I showed Emily some of my toys that she hasn't been able to see since she lives so far away.
Another highlight of Sunday night was that I got to take a bath in the WHOLE BATHTUB and not just my little tub. I did enjoy it. I just laid in the water and relaxed and let mommy hold my head so it didn't get wet! Talk about relaxing!!!
Monday morning I seemed to be better, so we attempted the trip to granny's house for Granny Conner Monday. Mommy called Aunt Sara and told her that I had a runny nose to make sure it was okay with her that I be around Levi. Aunt Sara said it was okay and so me and Levi played. I was still not quite myself, but I was a trooper. I actually had an appetite, too. I haven't been eating or drinking anything much, but I started to drink water and eat some. I wanted Chips Ahoy Cookies, bread and water. Mommy let me eat about 6 cookies because I hadn't really eaten much in a while.
We left granny's house a little earlier than usual and I came home and slept and slept and slept. Mommy and daddy woke me up after 3 hours because they were worried I wouldn't sleep later. Grandpa and Grandma Filler came over for dinner right after I woke up. Mommy made lots of food and I did eat a bit. I ate corn and crackers. I had fun with grandma and grandpa, but I still wasn't feeling very good. As the night went on I felt worse and worse. Mommy let me take another bath before bed and this time I got the REAL royal treatment. Mommy held up my head so I could float on the water and daddy took warm water and kept running it over me to keep me really warm. That could be a spa treatment, people!
So I slept and slept and this morning I felt HORRIBLE! Mommy called the doctor and we went to visit...and the rest is history. Two ears, Two ear infections! I am going to do my best to start feeling better immediately because we start celebrating Christmas TOMORROW NIGHT!!!
Here are a few pictures of me the last few days.

I Know People

So today was AWESOME! There were a few bumps in the road, but overall the journey was great! I got up this morning and had to immediately get in the bath tub. I won't give you the gory details, but I'll just say I gave my size 5 diaper a work out in the middle of the night!!!!
So I got a bath and and then headed to the living room where Tabatha was waiting! I forgot that it was a day when mommy takes her to school. I thought we were going to get some play time, but it was time for her to go to school so me and mommy drove her.
After dropping Tabatha off, we stopped by Pa and Grandma Filler's house because they are just 2 minutes away from Tabatha's school. I was so surprised because Pa didn't work today and Levi was there, too! We played and played for about an hour and then mommy said we had to go home. I wasn't really excited about leaving, but sometimes mommy is the boss.
When we got home daddy was up and dressed. I knew there must be something going on and I was RIGHT! Daddy's work had a breakfast this morning and we got to go. It was a great highlight. All the "Academy Babies" were in attendance and we had F-U-N! Me and Sophie got to play piano and all of us had a photo shoot. You should see 4 babies having a photo shoot...HA HA HA....grown ups will do all kinds of stuff to try and get you to smile!
I know people, so I got to stay after most of the party ended and play some more. Me and Vickie (she owns the Academy) played a bunch. Lucky for me she really loves babies and so she played football with me! Me and Joe (another Academy big-wig who gets to tell daddy what to do) played foose ball A LOT. Me and Matt (who has COOL fish in his apartment and who is the best roaring lion, next to me) had lots of fun roaring! Me and Lizzy (who has a really neat tattoo and hangs out with me at Eatsa Pizza) walked ALL OVER the Academy and even visited some teachers in their offices. Like I said, I KNOW PEOPLE!!! It was so great. I can't even type all the fun things I did at the party because I have a bedtime!! Anyway, everybody was super nice to me and I did a great job making people smile and laugh.
After the party I had to take a nap. A small bump, me throwing up all over the floor, occurred right before nap...but we won't talk about that. Two hours later I got up and Uncle Patrick came over. We played Wii and I got my own controller!!!!!!! It was so much fun. We played ball and had dinner together. It was a great night.
Eight-thirty came way too quickly and that means bed time. I was a little upset because my legs and stomach had what looked like a little rash on them. It didn't feel very good and mommy said if it isn't gone tomorrow she will call Dr. Byrne. OH MAN I HOPE IT IS GONE!!!
Anyway, overall it was a FABULOUS DAY!!!

Me and Mo on Lock Down

Boy do I ever apologize for the blogging hiatus that I have been on! Things sure do get busier than usual around Christmas time! My parents are busy, I am busy, WalMart is busy, everybody is busy!
So let me tell you a bit of what you've missed this last week. The biggest news, I think, is that I have a new friend named Mo. Well, mommy calls him ELMO, but I just call him Mo. He talks to me, he blows me kisses, he tells me stories and he dances with me. So in return, I try to feed him, let him drink from my sippie cup, read him stories (I especially enjoy reading him a book sitting behind the rocker in my room), blow him kisses, hug him, and try to play ball with him. He is NOT so good at playing ball yet, but I will keep trying.
Anyway, Mo is great. I just realized today that he has his very own television show. I ran to the tv and yelled, "MOOOOOOO" and I was sure to beat on the screen to see if I could get him out of there!!! You just never know where you will find Mo. I take him to all the different rooms in our place. Mommy has to make sure I don't try to give Mo a bath. Evidently it is NOT good for him to play in the bath tub.
I am very glad to have Mo, especially today. My parents don't generally mind me playing with the telephone because you have to dial a "9" first to really call somebody. They figured that the chances of me doing that are pretty slim. So I have enjoyed free reign of the telephone. However, today I actually made a phone call while mommy and daddy were sitting in the living room talking. Daddy got a weird look on his face and grabbed the phone. Evidently it was a nice man at the University Police Station that I called. I don't know what that means really....but I know I'm on lock down! No more telephone fun for me!!!
I am just about out of time for this evening. I am super excited because starting tomorrow daddy is off of work for A LONG TIME....well, it is until January and that sounds like a long time from now. My parents went shopping today to "pick up last minute stuff" and I really wasn't expecting anything to come in the door with my name on it....HOWEVER, like usual, my parents can't go anywhere without thinking of me...so I think I got some more goodies for Christmas. I heard somebody say that we're going to declare a pj day very soon because as soon as Sunday hits we are going to be SUPER BUSY! Don't worry, though. I will do my very best to let you know what is happening!

Say Cheese

I nearly sent my mommy into turning cartwheels yesterday! I started out my day a little differently because I decided to take my own diaper off in the morning and then decided it would be okay to go to the bathroom before mommy got me changed. I could go into more details, but I'll just leave it at that. I thought it was very funny, and mommy handled it very well considering.
So anyway, I took a bath before breakfast. Mommy got me dressed and then we headed to the kitchen. USUALLY I have cereal and mommy gets milk out of the fridge. Well, as she was putting milk in my cereal I decided that I wanted cheese for breakfast. Mommy wasn't looking at me, SOOO I hit the fridge and said, "cheese." THEN I had her attention. She said, "what?" So I said it again, "cheese." (Man, you have to be really clear with these people!!) So mommy opened the fridge and I politely opened the drawer with the cheese!
You would have thought I'd given her 1 million dollars! She was so excited! The good news is that I got my cheese and just let her act like a big dork.
So the rest of my day was fun. I went to granny's in the morning and stayed a super long time! Cousin Levi might be getting a stomach bug or something, so he didn't eat much lunch (and grandma had to change his diaper A LOT...but you didn't hear that from me). He still played some, but we kind of did our own thing. Usually we're attached at the hip, but I guess I could just sense that he wasn't himself.
In the afternoon I napped and then spent the evening with mommy and grandma and grandpa. I got some great corn for dinner (and chicken, biscuits and strawberry jelly). Because my nap wasn't super long in the afternoon I pooped out early. Mommy said that was okay and so I went to bed.
Today has been good so far, too. This morning I asked for cheese again. I actually had cheese and cereal. Right after breakfast mommy went to put dirty clothes in the hamper and I decided that it was the perfect time to go play in the bathroom. I ran to turn on the water and was sure to take the pitcher mommy uses to put water in for washing my hair.
I was so fast that by the time mommy got back I had already poured water out of the bath tub and onto the floor. It was no big deal! Seriously, the rug was there to catch most of it. I even got my pj's a "little" wet. It was fun...and then there was mommy. But again, she handled it pretty well. I am just doing my best to teach her patience!
SOOOO we cleaned up the floor and I got dressed. THEN we had to clean my room. I guess mommy was just on a cleaning streak. SO we went through clothes and put them away if they didn't fit anymore. (I just recently went through a growth spurt over night and many pairs of pants are now high waters!) I wasn't super thrilled with cleaning, but at least we found my other Pooh Slipper!!!
Daddy got up and we headed out to run some errands. Walmart was the only exciting part of errands. I got to see all the Christmas stuff they have out. Lunch was exceptional! Bologna, tangerines, pulled pork and some of daddy's cheese puffs!!!
Now I'm off for a nap. Who knows if I'll be able to write later tonight because mommy has a Christmas party to go to. That means I get to spend the evening with Pa, which is a highlight!!!

Saturday - Part 2

I know I already wrote today, but more stuff happened after my nap. My Grandpa and Grandma Penticuff came over to see me. We played at my house for a while and then we went shoe shopping. A girl can never have too many shoes, you know. I got a pair of BOOTS for the winter. They are very nice and they are PINK! I also got a balloon because the shoe store is just for kids like me and those people know what we like! We like balloons!
After shoe shopping we all went to dinner together. I kept everyone quite entertained and I managed to find a bit of time to eat. I had some chicken, tomatoes, applesauce, fries and crackers. Oh, and of course I had milk!
After dinner we said goodnight to grandma and grandpa and came home. You would not believe how cold it is here. Holy cow it is so crazy that I had to wear my VERY WINTER coat and hat and mittens. Sheesh, I am not sure how much I like this weather. It is pretty and I did get some boots so I can walk in it, but it is down right COLD. Oh well, a warm bath made me feel better. AND then I got to go see some of daddy's friends from work and then I came home and went to BED.
Enjoy more pictures from my day!

Better Than Shopping

Do you know what is better than shopping at the mall? Riding the Christmas Train at the mall!!! This morning I anticipated it being a long morning of Christmas shopping with my parents. My mommy was going with grandma to one store and then me and daddy were going to meet her at the second store.
WELL, mommy called just a few minutes after she left and changed the plans on daddy. Apparently we were going to meet at the mall instead of the bookstore because something special was going to happen. So daddy got my coat on and my hat on and we headed to the mall. So I was expecting a boring ride in my stroller. Mommy always brings snacks to try and keep me in my stroller, but usually I get tired of the snacks and want to RUN!
Daddy wheeled me through the mall and I began to wonder where mommy was. I just happened to look up and, to my surprise, mommy was standing with Uncle Lawrence, Aunt Sara, Grandma and Pa Filler, and LEVI! I was excited to see everybody and I was SUPER excited when I saw what was happening!
Me and Levi got to ride the Christmas Train!!! Oh it was so fun. I've never been on a train before and this was perfect. I wasn't scared one bit and I stayed sitting in my seat like a big girl. Me and Levi really liked it. We liked it so much that when it stopped, Levi started to tear up and I decided to take the other approach to crying...mad and wanting back in.
So, our parents decided we could ride it TWO TIMES! Oh it was GREAT!!! We got lots of pictures taken and I was telling Levi that maybe we should consider taking a trip together on a train because we are just that good at riding one. I talked to him quite a bit the last time around the track.
After the train we went to see Santa. We made an executive decision with our parents that waiting in line to see the big, red guy wasn't a priority today! We'll write him a letter or something, but we wanted to go to the toy store instead of talking to Santa.
So we walked around the mall together. Well, our parents walked and we rode in our strollers and snacked on cheerios! Then we decided to go have lunch together. We had Eatsa Pizza and we got to play games and more games. Man it was great!!!
I was a bit tuckered by the time we were finished so I didn't get to go to my other cousin's birthday party. That was a bit sad and so I yelled at mommy a little bit when she put me in bed. But I soon realized that she knew what she was talking about because I was so very sleepy! Well, I hope my cousin liked his birthday present from me. I got him a really neat car that changes into a robot!!! Man, you wouldn't believe the toys for OLDER KIDS!!! They are really cool!
Speaking of old, I am 16 months old today. Can you even believe it? I hardly can! And I am fairly certain my parents can't believe it either!
