I Do My Little Dance on the CATWALK

This past week was pretty good. I got to go to granny's house on Monday and see lots of family, I got to go to kindermusik on Thursday, I got to go to Indianapolis two times in one week, and I got to go to a GREAT TRAIN SHOW on Saturday with my cousins!
I don't have pictures from the GREAT TRAIN SHOW, but just know it was two hours of great fun! Me and grandma and pa and Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Sara and Levi and Evan all went to the fairgrounds and saw lots of trains! They even had THOMAS and all of his friends. Can you imagine TWO WHOLE BUILDINGS OF TRAINS??? It was wonderful!
I also got to go to the Children's Museum in Indianapolis, too! Oh man, that place is so much fun. Me and mommy and daddy went there on Wednesday and spent the whole afternoon. I had a grand time and I will just let my pictures tell you the story!
Also, I did have some tests done in Indianapolis on Friday. Thanks to all of you who said prayers for me and my mommy and daddy! They weren't the most fun things ever, but the good news is that everything came back okay and that after a couple of hours I was back to myself! While my parents thought I might take a LONG nap and feel kind of yucky the rest of the day, I proved that I don't need long naps and I don't need lots of recuperation time! Just give me something to jump on and lots of toys and I am HAPPY!

Slumber Party

Well I just got back tonight from a slumber party at Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave's house. It was so fun that I spent about 2 hours telling mommy and daddy what I did while I was away. I was still talking about it when I took my bath tonight.
Grandma Donna picked me up from my place yesterday after she finished work. We headed to Marion to get Grandpa Dave. He got to go to dinner with us. I had one of my FAVORITE meals...spaghetti! We had a good time talking and playing during dinner and then me and Grandma Donna took Grandpa Dave back to work.
We decided to go to the movie store and rent something that we could watch together. We decided on Dora, a great choice, and then headed to Grandma's house. We sat and watched Dora together and waited for Grandpa Dave to get home.
I was so excited when he came home! We got to play and play. He brought me some "swords" and we had lots of duels!! I laughed so hard I could hardly stand up! The three of us played until it was time to go to bed.
Me and Grandma Donna stayed in the big bed, again. It took just a few minutes for me to get situated and then I slept VERY WELL! Sometime in the morning I started wiggling around a bunch, but I still had a great sleep! I slept until about 8:30 or so this morning and then made sure Grandma Donna knew it was time to start the day!
Today I got to play lots more. I saw Uncle Adam and made sure he got a good workout, too. We went to the store, we went to the library (where I saw a hamster named Jill), and then we came back to Muncie and visited with Grandma Haz and Grandpa Si. I was so glad to see them and very excited because my cousin Tyler and his girlfriend came over for a few minutes, too! They were going to a big dance so they were looking very pretty/handsome! AND I got to sing Happy Birthday to my Great Aunt Sherry, who has her birthday tomorrow!
After a good day it was time to come home. I was excited to see mommy and daddy and ran around while trying to tell them all about my slumber party! It was so fun and I already can't wait to go back soon and stay again!
Tonight mommy made me roast and corn and peaches and even a grilled cheese sandwich in case I didn't like the roast. I ate all the roast...and some of the corn...and some of the peaches....and THEN I ate half of a bean burrito from Taco Bell! I was one hungry girl after my great day. I had a bath, I brushed my teeth and took my yucky medicine (an antibiotic), and then me and mommy got in her big bed and watched bobsledding on the Olympics!
I loved watching the sleds go really fast and I told mommy that when I am a bigger girl I can do that, too! However, I want a pink sled and Levi will want a blue sled and Evan will want a black sled and we will all go very, very fast! And then after we sled, I told mommy that I want to skate on the ice. We may have to move to Utah to accomplish all these big dreams, but I am convinced that I could be a medal contender!!

Random Fun

This has been a good week. I've seen my cousins 3 times this week and that mean a very good time had by all! I've read to Evan, I've sung songs to Evan, I've played with Evan. I've played wth Levi, I've run into Levi at least 3 times which means red spots on both our heads for long periods of time, I've argued with Levi.
One day this week me and daddy went on a shopping spree. We didn't actually buy much, be we sure took on the stores! Mommy went to get her hair cut so me and daddy decided to check out the mall, TJMAXX and several other stores. I love to shop...especially with daddy because he will chase me around the place.
I had lunch at McDonalds one day. Me and mommy and daddy sat in the really tall chairs that I love! Mommy loves them, too, because I don't squirm around during the whole meal!!! I had chicken nuggets and apples and even a cookie at the end of lunch!
Another day mommy and me took daddy with us to our music class. I did a really great job showing him how to get to where we were going. I also did a good job showing him where everything was. He got to sing with us and dance with us.
The three of us also went to the children's museum one day. I really enjoyed that! I got to drive a big semi truck, a train and a tractor! I loved climbing out of the train and yelling, "ALL ABOARD!" I also loved sitting in the back of the big truck and telling daddy to drive! I got to see a little alligator, birds, a rabbit and turtles. There were also some snakes there, but I did NOT want to go see them.
I got to play in dirt, looking for fossils. I got to play in water. I also played on a little farm. Another neat thing about the museum is that there is a little town where I got to play in the grocery store and in a house (where daddy made us dinner) and in the school! AND can't forget to tell you that they had LOTS of model trains to watch go around the tracks!
The fun doesn't stop just because the week is almost over!! Tonight I get to go spend the night with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave. I am just sure that we will have a great time together! I am sure there will be lots of fun to report to you later!!

Super Bowl Sunday

What'd I do today? Went to church. Had a great lunch with my parents and grandma and pa. Layed down for a bit (though I didn't take a nap). Played and played while anticipating the Colts game. Had a Super Bowl Party. Ate lots of junk food. Watched the first half of the game. Went to bed and let the grown ups worry about watching the Colts not win.
(Yes, that is food on my face and on my shirt and that is snot running down my nose. Come on people, it is Super Bowl Sunday....you are SUPPOSED to have food all over you & your nose is SUPPOSED to run constantly regardless of how many times your mommy tries to stop it!)

Nine Point Five

9.5 is a significant number today. It is my shoe size. It is also how much snow the news said my town got yesterday. It snowed and snowed and snowed yesterday. Every time I looked out the window it was snowing. Me and mommy didn't even leave the house one time yesterday. We played with Levi and Evan during the day and then last night me and daddy and mommy all played together until I was pooped out and ready for bed.
Today has been a great day! We started off slow and lazy. I ran around in my pj's, mommy laid on the couch and daddy watched tv with me. We ate donuts with white powdered sugar on them for breakfast and just lounged around. Grandma called me to see what I was doing and so I talked to her for a while about my lazy day.
For lunch we had grilled cheese sandwiches. I think this was the first time I've ever had one and I really enjoyed it! It was so good. It was a sure thing I'd like it though because I LOVE cheese in general!
After lunch mommy got me all bundled up and we headed out to play in the snow. We live really close to the hospital so our streets were pretty clear. Ball State had even plowed all the side walks. Since lots of the snow was gone, daddy said we could go play on the mountains of snow in the parking lot across the street. Good thing it is a Saturday because hardly any cars were to be found! I climbed up mountains of snow. I slid down mountains of snow. I threw snow balls. Daddy pulled me on the sled. Mommy helped me through the really deep places. It was a BLAST! I think this was the most I've ever played in the snow. This might be the most snow we've gotten in my almost 2.5 years, at least this is the most I can remember.
Eventually daddy got really cold and said it was time to go in. I didn't want to, but my cheeks WERE pretty red. Daddy said I could warm up in the bathtub if I wanted. I agreed that a bath would be fun and so I headed back to our place with little arguing!
A warm bath was just what I needed! I sang songs in the shower and played until red cheeks and red legs were back to their normal color! Then it was play time again and now I am smelling some good stuff coming from the kitchen. Mommy is making dinner, daddy went to get a movie for later tonight and I am playing with my baby dolls. It sure has been a good day and I am looking forward to a good night.

Happy Days

Life just gets busier and busier, doesn't it? Lots going on in the Douglas family. I've been busy teaching Evan to be a rock star. I have also been putting on fashion shows for my mommy.

Me and Levi have had some time to hang out.

And I started Kindermusik last Thursday. It is my first class EVER and I am doing pretty well. I enjoy about the first 30 minutes. The last 15 are a bit rough on me and I usually decide to lay in the middle of the floor and watch everybody else or try to escape to a corner...but it is fun.

Yesterday was my 2nd time going and I met a new friend. We are the same age and we're both the VERY TALKATIVE TYPE! Our mommies even let us go into the big, beautiful theater and sing on the stage together. We danced, sang and RAN REALLY FAST!

I've been having fun every day, testing my parents every day, pushing limits every day, laughing every day, and getting funnier every day. I know I have some pretty fun things coming up in the next few weeks and I can't wait to tell you about them! For now, here is a little video of me telling daddy that I am starting music class. Don't let it fool you, I really was VERY EXCITED!
