Jonas and Big John

My fishies now have names. They are Jonas and Big John. They are still doing well and I am still fascinated by them! Today has been busy and I only have time to give you the short version. We went to granny's today. I played and played with my cousins and had a great time with granny, Aunt Ruthie, grandma and mommy.
I came home and took a good nap and then got up for some more play time. Mommy packed my bags tonight. Wednesday I get to go stay with Grandma and Pa for a few days and then I am going to Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave's for a few days. Mommy and daddy are going to see Aunt Emily and Uncle Tim so I get to have LOADS OF FUN with my grandparents!
We got all packed and then it was time to put on my dancing dress again. Monday night means dancing with daddy. I ran all around with my pretty pink dancing dress and now I am tuckered out! It was a great Monday.

New Addition to Our Family

This has sure been a busy weekend! Friday night and Saturday morning mommy had a conference to go to. I had a great time because I got to play with other kids whose parents had to go. I played lots with Gabby and Garrett, Caleb, Hunter and Caden. It was so much fun and I was so tired after I was all finished!
Then Saturday afternoon was my cousin's birthday party! Evan is ONE now!! The party was at a big church and so Levi and I got to RUN, RUN and RUN some more!! I loved every minute of it! I also loved when Evan opened the present from me!!! I got him a shirt with a monkey on it. The monkey has a mohawk and I just knew Evan would love it!
Today was church day. I got to play in the nursery and go to the "big girl" class for Sunday School. The teachers said that I did a really good job in there and so maybe mommy will let me start going every week. I sure hope so!! I will miss Miss Karen, but I sure do like getting to do things with the big kids!
Tonight was a big dinner at church. It was a Luau and the youth served us dinner! I had some GREAT pulled pork and chicken kabobs! AND I had some strawberries that were wonderful. The kids put on a show after we ate and I thought it was good, but I really thought it would have been better if I could have gone on the stage. I kept asking mommy to let me up there, but she said not tonight.
After everything was over and it was almost time to go home, I got something very special. TWO FISH!!! There were fishies on the tables in the center and some of us got to adopt them. They are now a part of my family and I am thinking about what to name them. Mommy says they may not be with us long, but I have faith that they will be with us for a very long time!

P.S. Don't worry, we found a bigger bowl for them after we took the pictures. My fishies now have lots of room to swim around!

Firsts and Lasts

Today has been a great day! First I went with mommy and daddy to my last KinderMusik class of the semester. We had a REALLY great time and I participated in every activity today! Then we went to the store to pick up a few odds and ends since we had a little time.
Before I knew it, it was time to go meet my dentist! We walked into the office and the first thing I was was a huge giraffe!! He was so tall! Then we walked into the waiting room where daddy and I played PAC MAN!!! They have a game there just like the one at Pizza King (I was very quick to point this out to my parents). Eventually they called my name and, like the very big girl that I am, I walked right in with the nurse! My parents were following behind, but I was busy talking to the lady about my shoes and didn't even worry about my parents.
So I got to get in a big chair that went up and down and up and down. It also can make you lay down! A very nice lady showed me a funny toothbrush that was going to tickle my teeth. She let me play with it, even let me turn it on and off!! She asked if she could see my teeth and I laid down, watched tv (which was above me when I laid down), and she tickled all of my teeth! Then it was time for fluoride! The very nice lady brushed it on my teeth and then took it all off. I was such a good girl and did exactly what she asked me to do!
Then it was time to wait on Dr. Jeff. The lady was so nice that she got me a dentist mask to wear and let me wear her work "sunglasses." You should have seen me. I looked like a real dentist myself!!! I even got some gloves, but I didn't put them on.
Next it was time to meet Dr. Jeff. He looked at my teeth and sang a song about them!! I wasn't really sure about the whole thing, but I did a good job. Dr. Jeff said my teeth are beautiful and that I do a really good job brushing them. He also told mommy and daddy they looked great and that he can't believe I am only two years old because I was such a great patient!
You won't believe what happened next! I got a new toothbrush, a princess one. AND THEN Dr. Jeff brought me a tiger purse because I did a good job. AND THEN he let me go over to a big cabinet and pick out some toys. I could have as many as I wanted, but mommy said just pick one or two. AND THEN the nice lady came and gave me TWO NECKLACES that matched my outfit!
WOO WEE! Can you believe it? My last KinderMusik class of the semester and my first trip to the dentist! I didn't know what the dentist would be like, but I really had a fun time and mommy really liked the dentist.
Oh, I forgot to tell you...my friend Wendall spent the whole day with us today. He is my friend that I've had for about a month. Nobody can see him except me and usually he comes around a few times a day or I just talk to him on the phone. However, today he has done everything with me. Mommy even had to get him out of the car at Wal Mart. People look at me kind of funny when I tell them about Wendall, or they laugh, but he really is my great friend. I'll have to tell you all about him some day!

Sweetness

Today Levi and Evan came over. We had a great time, as usual, playing. Levi brought a bear from his house. I named the bear "Sweetness" and he played with us all day. We had lunch together, I drove him around in the stroller, and we took Sweetness everywhere we went.
I also got to go with Pa over to Grandma and Grandpa Filler's house for dinner tonight. It was so much fun. I had meatloaf and green beans and cake! I don't have much else to report about today, other than it was just a blast! It is time to go to bed and I can actually say that I am READY! So, in the words of my good friend Miss Amy, "Later Tater!"

Tuckered Out

How do you EXHAUST a 2 year old and a 32 year old???Start by making faces at the camera.
Then spend the morning at granny's house with 2 cousins. Dance and sing as much as possible.
Go to TWO parks and spend more than and HOUR running and playing at EACH ONE!

Walk over to the Root Beer Stand and have an ice cream cone.

Take a power nap in the car and then play in the dirt in front of your house. Take a bath and "swim" for a while.

Finally end the night by daddy coming home, watching Dancing with the Stars together and doing a little dance of your own!

Lynley's Nine Innings of Opening Day

Inning #1
Grandpa and I played baseball (I like to call it football) in the hotel to get us ready for the big game. People, we are professionals...I wouldn't try this in YOUR hotel rooms!

Inning #2
I have no pictures to show you of this...but the second inning was me in the big hotel bed. I started in Grandma Donna's, then went over to mommy and daddy's room and ended up in bed with mommy. Believe me when I say that I KNOW HOW TO USE EVERY INCH OF A QUEEN SIZE BED! I don't discriminate and was EVERYWHERE throughout the night.

Inning #3
Opening Day Parade! I enjoyed the view from daddy's shoulders. We saw the most outrageous things! I loved the bands. I loved the giant pig and Burger King french fries. I loved the horses. I loved the dogs. I loved the dancers and the pom poms. And I loved the Census Princess. It is just like Grandpa Dave says, "Where else can you see the Census Princess?"

Inning #4
The walk from the parade to the ball park was my 4th inning. Really, it was more work on the adults than it was on me. I continued to enjoy the ride on daddy's shoulders. And when he needed a break, Grandpa Dave graciously let me ride his shoulders. I heard the trip was quite the work out, but for me it was a great time of people watching, sipping water and feeling the breeze.

Inning #5
Bounce, Bounce Bounce! I am positive by next year I will be able to climb the rope to the big slide, too!

Inning #6
Is there any place in the world that has better food than the ball park? I think not!

SEVENTH INNING STRETCH................

Inning # 8

MY FAN FINGER!!!!!

Inning #9
Headed back to the big blue bus that would deliver us to our car. Happy, Satisfied and riding on daddy!

Just a couple of notes on the day: I had such a wonderful time! I ate at Walt's Hitching Post for the very first time. I had the world's craziest waitress and managed to be fabulous despite a very early morning and only a 30 minute nap! This was my first hotel stay without a crib! I really enjoyed having rooms that joined together so I could hang out with mommy and daddy and Grandpa Dave and Grandma Donna all at the same time. By 11:30pm I finally called it a night and settled on a bed.
I woke up at 7:30am asking mommy if it was morning time yet. When she said yes I had to go check and make sure it was morning time in Grandpa Dave and Grandma Donna's room, too. We got ready, we ate breakfast, we rode a big bus across the bridge. I saw the parade. I made it through all 9 innings in the stands (with the exception of one walk with Grandma Donna because it was very, very hot and we needed some shade). I made new friends by chatting with the people behind us. I did a great job in the car and entertained everyone.
It was truly a great first opening day for me!
