Animals! Animals!!

What could possibly make an energetic young lady look like this?

Her First Ever Trip to the ZOO!!!! Me and mommy and daddy got Concannon's donuts and hit the road early this morning. We traveled to Indianapolis to see all the animals. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but it was a blast!!! I want to share some pictures with you, but I can't share them all because we took about 200 of them!!!!!!!!!! (Watch your mail Carol, I'm sending you some!!!)

So here goes!

Me and daddy and mommy checked out the penguins for quite awhile! We actually went to see the penguins two times during the day because I liked them so much!

I LOVED the fish!!! I even saw some sharks so close up that I could touch them!!! I didn't want to, but mommy did. I just watched them really closely.

It was a very warm day so I got to play in the SPLASH PARK!!! Mommy was SMART and brought me extra clothes and shoes to wear after I was finished!! I started out barely touching the water but by the end I was RUNNING THROUGH THE SPRINKLERS!

I also rode a train and a merry-go-round. I got to ride that 3 or 4 times throughout the day!

We saw so many animals and, of course, I found time to be silly!

OH, I loved the dolphins. We got to watch a show when the dolphis jumped and jumped out of the water! They played ball with people and they danced to music!! It was one of my favorite parts of the day!

I LOVED THE GIRAFFES!!! I have never seen them so close! I get to see them on Madagascar all the time, but this was so very cool. We watched them for a very long time!!!

Uh...did you see my neat back pack? I got to wear it most of the day. It has my buddy dog on it and mommy felt safer with me close by instead of running fast and far away from her!!!

This is actually something called a walrus, BUT I enjoyed calling it a water Cow!

I told you I LOVED those PENGUINS!!!

People, I had a fabulous day! I can't even hardly sum it up for you. My parents were SOOOO impressed because I was good ALL DAY and I even sat through the whole dolphin show! We saw what seemed like hundreds of different kinds of animals!!! My least favorite were the snakes and the lion (cause he was LAZY and didn't do anything). My favorites were ANYTHING in water (polar bear, seals, "water cow", penguins, dolphins, sharks, fish, etc.) and the giraffes!!! I did think the monkeys were interesting and I enjoyed watching a mommy and daddy monkey play with a baby monkey. The elephants were pretty neat, but they were really far away and the the two that I saw up close were getting ready to take a bath...and I wanted to jump in their water with them!!! The dragons didn't do a whole lot for me, but there were so many PEOPLE around them that I could hardly get a good look. The butterfly room was something spectacular but I was quite tired by the time we got there so I was content letting daddy carry me around and point out where the butterflies were! Oh it was just a great day! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND EVERYONE GOING TO THE ZOO!

Reasons to Love Summer

There are so many reasons to love summer. I am learning them very quickly! One of my favorite things so far is that I get to water our flowers every day, sometimes two times a day!!! Sometimes I even water myself in the process.

My family had a great holiday weekend! Daddy had his last day of working with the kids (until the fall) on Saturday. He worked all day and me and mommy decided to take it easy. We went to lunch with Pa and grandma and then we went and bought plants for our family garden. Me and daddy and mommy and pa and grandma and Lawrence and Sara and Levi and Evan are all going to have a garden this year with all kinds of good food to eat in it!!! So we went to pick out what to plant. We got peppers and corn and onions and tomatoes and melon and strawberries and who knows what else?!?!!!! I got really tired after walking through all the plants and headed home to nap.
After my nap I really wanted to go for a walk. Mommy let me walk through the Academy and outside...pretty much wherever I wanted to go. It was great and it was LONG...almost 2 hours! I talked to the SLC's and other people that daddy works with every day. I picked flowers and rocks and pine cones. It was so fun.
When daddy got home we all left and went to a cook out at Vickie's house (she works with daddy). She lives at a house with LOTS AND LOTS OF GRASS!!!! I got to run everywhere! It was so fun AND I got to stay up past my bed time. I played basketball with the big people, I got on a BIG trampoline, I rode a wooden horse, I ate LOTS of strawberries with glaze, I played with a marshmallow gun and ATE lots of marshmallows, I walked over a bridge that was just my size, I watched the dogs, I ran through the barn. I did everything you could imagine...except sit down!!! I especially enjoyed playing with Joe, daddy's boss. He always has toys for me to play with in his office at the Academy and so I knew he would be so fun at the party.
We got home late and I had to take a bath because I was D-I-R-T-Y!!!
Sunday came REALLY QUICKLY and my family worked on our garden. Church was fun and spending the afternoon with Levi was great! By Sunday night I was really ready for bed...but not so tired that I couldn't entertain my family at dinner! Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lesa, Tabatha and Granny came with us to dinner and I was full of things to make them laugh. I can also say, "Jeff" and "Lesa" now...AND I CAN SAY LYNLEY...or actually inley...but you know what I mean!
Monday was time with lots of family and, again, I was SOOOOOOOOO TIRED when I got home. I slept really great last night and I think today I will take a really good nap because the weekend has caught up with me!
I will definitely get pictures on here of my garden and my holiday celebrations, but here is one of me at the cook out having such fun!!!

Starting the Weekend with a Bang

Well I started the holiday weekend with a bang. I talked to my Grandpa and Grandma Penticuff because they are gettin on an airplane to go see my Aunt Emily get married!! I played with Parker some because today was the last day he will come to our house (his mommy doesn't work in the summer). I took an hour and a half walk with daddy watching all the kids getting ready to leave the Academy for the summer. I laid down but didn't take a nap. And then I went to Pa and Amma Filler's house to play with Levi and Evan while Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Sara went on a "date." Well, me and Levi played. Evan hung out with amma and mommy.

The Wheels on the Bus

You are NEVER going to guess what I did yesterday! Yes, I went to Granny's Conner's house like I do every Monday. Yes, I ate cookies and donut holes and grape juice and 15 bean soup for lunch...but that stuff is NORMAL....

My Great-Great-Aunt Ruth said we were going to do something very fun! She took my hand, we crossed the street and we waited...(that is Tabatha with me, too)!

We waited for the bus to come by. I was so super excited because I was going to see the bus. I kept saying, "BUS! BUS! BUS!"
I even looked back to mommy to tell her I was waiting for the BUS!

And then it happened! The BUS came by! AND IT STOPPED!!! AND DOORS OPENED!!! And then I got a bit scared...

Aunt Ruth helped me get on the bus because I had NO IDEA THERE WERE GOING TO BE DOORS PEOPLE!!! Oh my goodness it was the most fun! I was a bit scared when the bus would stop and lower something...it made an awful hissing noise...but other than that, I was in BUS HEAVEN!
I watched out the window and I sat all by myself in a seat sometimes and I saw some interesting people...some even talked to me...and I sat in Ruth's lap so I could get a better view of everything! I RODE THE BUS FOR ONE HOUR!!! ( I know you are thinking that I can't sit still for an hour...but I did today! Mommy even sent Tabatha a text to see if I was doing okay and OF COURSE I WAS...I can't believe she even doubted me!)

Eventually the bus stopped and it was our turn to get out!

You won't believe this either, but we got out at the exact same spot we got on!!! Mommy was waiting on Granny's steps to see me.
Then I played with my friend Gwen. I had to tell everybody about the bus and then I had to do LOTS OF RUNNING! (Because I had sat still for A WHOLE HOUR and had lots of energy ready to burn!!!!!)

Oh man it was a day!! It was my very first bus ride EVER!

I also had a couple of other firsts to share with you from last week....I wore my first leotard...and I played in it and I twirled in it...

And I also have a picture from my SECOND Mother's Day. That is me and my mommy and my grandma (aka amma) and my granny!
