The Running of the Bulls

Today was a BIG day.  I mean, today was epic.  First of all...I used the potty today.  Seriously people.  I wore big girl Elmo pants and everything!  We had a HUGE celebration at our house that included waking daddy up 30 minutes earlier than usual and some serious jumping up and down time!!!  Really, I was that good!!!
THEN mommy asked if I wanted to go see some animals today.  I said, "MOOOOO COWS."  Mommy took that as a yes and so me and daddy and mommy got ready and headed to Me's Zoo.  I had no idea there was a zoo close to my home, but there is!  Unfortunately it will be closing at the end of this week, but mommy and daddy wanted to be sure that I got a chance to see it.
I LOVED IT!  My favorite animals had to be the goats and the peacocks.  First of all, I did an awesome job with the little goats.  We went in the fence with them and I watched mommy feed them.  They jumped up on her so she was afraid I would be too scared to move around.  HOWEVER, I showed her by taking some corn of my own and feeding one.  Then I walked all around and spent some time petting them!
Next we saw the monkeys.  They were so funny.  They were climbing everywhere and I got to feed them peanuts.  I made sure I gave ALL of them some peanuts!  The bears were big!  I gave them peanuts, too.  They were fascinating, but not nearly as much as the Gibbon (aka swinging monkey).  He grabbed my attention because he looked like he was having so much fun swinging from a rope!
Next we saw llamas.  Mommy fed them, but for some reason they were scared of me.  It think maybe I made a little too much noise.  I did try to climb the fence to get closer, but they didn't want to hang out very long!  The tiger was lazy.  He just layed there...even when I told him to get up!  Then came more of my favorites....MORE GOATS!
These goats had horns so I couldn't walk in the fence with them, but we did feed them.  They were awesome and they loved me.  I ran on the outside of the fence and they followed me.  Now, I know some people dig the running of the bulls in Spain...but I am telling you that the running of the goats was quite exhilarating!  I LOVED IT!  I would say, "Come On Goats!"  And they listened to me!!!
We saw cows and a lion and 2 white tigers (who were much more interesting than the regular tiger because they were walking around).  I saw deer and elk and lemurs and cougars and a panther.  I saw peacocks and they were beautiful.  I really liked their feathers (so I fed them, too).  I saw buffalo and sheep and ducks and a swan (more feeding).  I saw an ostrich and I looked really hard for the kangaroo but he was sleeping in his house and wouldn't wake up!!!  I saw a funny looking sheep from Africa and I can't even remember what he was called, but he followed me around, too.
It was just the most fun.  Lots of animals, lots of hand sanitizer and lots of walking.  Daddy even got to be on the television for a little bit.  He did an interview with some people from Ball State about how sad it is that the zoo is closing.  Hopefully I see him on the 5 o clock news or something.
The morning wore me out, so I came home, took a nap and then headed to Grandma Doris and Grandpa Max's house.  I had lots of fun playing with Pa, Grandma & Grandpa, and Uncle Jimmy.  Levi didn't come tonight because I guess he wasn't feeling well today, but I still had a good time.  I even helped Grandma with the raspberry pie.  YUMMY!  It was GOOD!
I am definitely ready for bed tonight.  What a BIG DAY!!!  I will definitely have pictures for you to see tomorrow....not of me using the potty, but of the fun times I had at the zoo!!!  Our camera battery died, but I'll get it all fixed up for tomorrow!

My Fans are Restless

Can you even believe it has been 2 whole weeks since I've posted on here? Time sure is flying...and my fans are getting restless! So here I am to try and update you on the last couple of weeks. I am probably going to forget some things, and I am probably going to edit here and there...but the highlights go like this:
I played with Aunt Clata and fed the birds in her back yard
I stayed with Aunt Ruth for a while and RAN all over her house. I also drove her car in the garage and visited with the neighbor dog, Maggie. I even "showed" Baxter how to potty outside like a good dog.
I spent the night with Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave. We had a house full...it was me and Grandma Haz and Uncle Adam and Christy and Grandma Donna and Grandpa Dave. I provided much entertainment and I PLAYED AND PLAYED. Uncle Adam is pretty much wrapped around my finger so he played lots with me. I played with Rex and I took a walk with Grandpa.
I also spent a night with Grandma and Pa. We ate at the Shark (aka A&W Rootbeer) and we played and played. We also visited several of my FAVORITE STORES in town. I rode a horsie and a truck.
I had two Mondays at Granny's house. FUN TIMES running with Levi, playing on Patrick's bed, running Aunt Ruth all around the porch, climbing on couches, eating whatever I want from the kitchen, coloring at the new table that Granny got for the great grand kids, etc.
Me and mommy went to watch a helicopter land at the field close to our house. We watched it for about 10 minutes and it was FASCINATING! The "sticks" on top went round and round. Then we saw the man who drives it get out to stretch his legs. Then we watched it shut down. I was really quite taken with the whole experience.
I have spent LOTS of time with my cousins, too! They come to my house two days a week and hang out with me and mommy. Man we have fun!!! And our most fun thing to do is to wake daddy up at 10:30am, head over to the fountain close to our house and splash the water and run all around it, and then walk to the tennis courts and RUN around them. Eventually we make our way back home and get ready for lunch. We are having such a good time together.
I know there has been more fun things going on...but this is the best I can remember for right now. I hope it brings you up to date!

A Holiday Weekend

Well apparently tomorrow starts a holiday weekend. This was all news to me, but I hear it means daddy gets to spend like 4 days off from work with me and mommy! Pretty sweet deal! I know I have not done a stellar job of keeping up with blogging the last little bit, but I think I've finally established some sort of a school year routine!
Me and Levi have been giving mommy a work out on Tuesdays and Fridays. I am a great helper with Evan, but when he is otherwise occupied, I am all about exploring just how many toys I can get on the floor at one time! I also really enjoy making a tent in the living room and hiding from mommy there. Me and Levi have made up LOTS of games to play during the days!
Thursday is laundry day, Monday is Granny's day, Sunday is church day...I am a very busy girl.
But let me try to get back on track of telling you what has happened TODAY!
This morning I slept in because I stayed up late last night. Me and mommy and daddy went to Walmart at 8:30 last night to do some shopping. I don't think I've ever been there that late before, but I did a really good job! So I slept until after nine today and then got up feeling very refreshed!
Me and mommy let daddy sleep a bit and then we headed to wake him up. That is one of my favorite parts of the day. I knocked at the door and said, "Wake Up Pappa Bear!" And then I knocked some more. Eventually I got into daddy's room and then jumped up on the bed. I told him we had to get up and GO!
We had breakfast and headed to do some 'running' ...which basically means I sit in my carseat bored while mommy and daddy get bills paid and such. I amuse myself by singing my ABC's, Jesus Loves Me, and Boomerang Express. Sometimes I require my parents to sing with me...but usually I just talk to my baby doll and sing. At some point during the 'running' I usually get a sucker!
After 'running' we went to a store to look at clothes. Mommy didn't really find any steals of a deals for me, but DADDY found me my VERY FIRST PAIR OF MESH SHORTS! He was so happy...because he has about 100 pairs of mesh shorts...and now I have a pair, too! AND we got them for the low, low price of 2 dollars!!! So after that great find we headed to do laundry.
I got to play with Levi and Evan and Grandma while mommy did laundry and daddy went to run 4 miles! I had a great time! I even got to watch one of my favorite movies, Garfield, 2 times! I love it when Garfield BURPS really loud. I laugh every time!! I also like when he dances with Odie. I have almost got their dance memorized!!!
After laundry I had to take a nap. It went okay. I slept about an hour and then told mom I had been in bed long enough. She said we could go see my cousin Tyler play tennis if I felt up to it! OF COURSE I FELT UP TO IT!!! I love going to games! So we went to watch the tennis match.
Tyler did a nice job. I was more concerned by the 'ring' around his head than anything else. Mommy called it a sweat band...but I know it was a big ring around his head. He was so nice because after his match he came and played with me for a while. We played with my Cincinnati Reds Ball!
AND, I got to see my Uncle Jim at the game! He lives far away from here, almost as far as Carol! He lives in California but he came home to see everybody for a few days. He played with me, too. We ran around the field, played ball and had fun!
When it was time to leave, I got to go with Grandma Donna out to see Grandpa Si and Grandma Haz. I haven't seen them for a couple of weeks so it was nice to get out to their house!! I got to see lots of family and Grandma says I was quite the entertainer!!
I started winding down and hit the sack about 9:30pm. I know tomorrow my cousins will be here so I HAVE to get a good nights rest! We have lots of running and playing to do tomorrow!!!
