Sunny Days!

This weekend has been a blast so far! The weather has been beautiful so I have been outside enjoying it! Yesterday I got up and helped mommy watch Parker. I really was a big help. I am SUPER GOOD at telling other people to "shhhhhh" around the baby and then yelling as loud as I can...just so everybody knows that the being quiet rule does NOT apply to me.
After Parker went home with his mommy I took a quick nap and then headed to Amazing Joe's to eat dinner with Pa and Grandma Filler. It was good but I should have told mommy not to get me an entree because I was most impressed with the bread. (Don't tell anybody, but I ate a WHOLE LOAF by myself!!) The bread has great dill sauce on it and I just LOVE IT!
After dinner we all went to a park to watch daddy play softball. I did watch for a few minutes but I was more excited about the giant curly slide than anything else. I wasn't a bit scared, even though it was REALLY BIG! It was the biggest I'd ever seen. Pa stood at the top and I climbed the stairs all by myself. Then I went down all by myself and mommy caught me at the bottom. I went down the slide about 50 times because it was just so fun. Then I decided to try the merry-go-round with the big kids. They were nice to me and I went around and around several times before mommy thought we should try something else. So I went to the swings and tried that.
Pa and grandma had to leave so me and mommy walked all around the tennis courts and the park for another hour! I was hot and tired and sweaty, but it sure was fun! When daddy was done we came home and I got a GREAT bath and then hit the sack!
Today daddy was gone. He went to some place called Kings Island with the kids he works with...so me and mommy decided to have a girls day. First we went with grandma to see Uncle Lawrence, Aunt Sara and Evan. We stayed for 3 hours and I was a very good girl. Mommy couldn't believe how good I was the whole time. I played with Uncle Lawrence and watched the nurses when they came in to help Aunt Sara feel better.
After visiting, we went to Wendy's for lunch and then headed home. Mommy thought I should take a nap, but I didn't agree. I laid in my room and talked and talked and talked. Finally mommy decided to give in (she never does that so I knew decided to be super good the rest of the day to show her it was okay just this once)! We went to Target to pick up a few little things and just look around. I am getting really good at shopping and not complaining!
After Target we came home and played outside. We made a masterpiece outside our door with sidewalk chalk and then we went for a walk. We even saw our friend Lizzy and talked to her for a few minutes. Eventually I got hungry and we decided to have dinner.
I had some wonderful food, watched a wonderful movie (Madagascar 2) and then had a bath. Mommy let me play in the bath longer than usual and she scrubbed my face and feet because I was REALLY DIRTY!
I am relaxing in my pj's and winding down for the evening. I know I have to go to bed soon because tomorrow is church and I just have to be well rested for the fun I'll have in the nursery! I am hoping daddy will be home tomorrow. I had a great day but I missed him, too!

Evan Is HERE!

(My happy dance that Evan is HERE!)

I know I usually wait until the evening to tell you what has been happening, but I just could not wait today! I have a NEW BABY COUSIN! Evan Matthew is a handsome little guy! A whole bunch of grown up information about it will be on Levi's blog at some point I am sure, but here is what I know.
Last night Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Sara went to the hospital to spend the night. Evan wasn't gonna come until today, so mommy went by herself to visit last night and me and daddy stayed home. In the middle of the night mommy got a phone call that Sara was going to have surgery so the baby could come out. For some reason (and I know it was important..but I don't understand all that stuff) Evan just could not wait any longer and so the doctor did surgery to get him here!
Mommy went to the hospital but let me sleep because a 20 month old certainly needs her beauty rest!!! I don't know that I've seen 2:30am since I was a little lady who had to eat 4 times a night! I had no idea anything had happened, but when I got up this morning mommy told me I had a NEW COUSIN!
So me and mommy watched Parker today and then when he was fed and happy, we all went to the hospital for just a few minutes so I could meet Evan, too. I was quite taken with his hat...and I was quite taken with Uncle Lawrence's laptop because I could watch Sesame Street! You won't believe it, but Evan has 10 fingers, 10 toes and looks like a very little Levi...kind of. I am already jealous of his hair...he has more than I had when I was one year old!! But anyway, he was 7 lbs and 3 ozs and I think about 21 inches long. All I know is that he is TINY, TINY!
Aunt Sara is doing very well. She looked awfully pretty for a lady who had to have doctors working on her all night!!! She is getting some good rest and so I was sure to be good while I was up there.
Isn't this just great news? Mommy is already trying to get me to say, "Evan." I'm working on it in my mind...and hopefully I'll be saying it soon! I hear that tonight I get to spend some time with Grandma Donna...more great news for the day! I just had no idea how special today would be when I woke up! Mommy says tomorrow I can see Baby Evan again!! Here are some pictures mommy and daddy took today at the hospital.

What a Week

It has been a week! Sometimes I did this...

And sometimes I did this...

A few times I did this....(biting my nails)

Mommy even got me to give a few "smiles" by saying, "Show me your teeth..."

It was just a great week! Mommy and me babysat Parker (he is a little guy, just 8 weeks old, who stays with us during the day while his mommy works), I went to my cousin Tyler's baseball game and practiced my catching and pitching positions, and I got lots of play time outside because it was beautiful for lots of days!!!!
I am patiently waiting for my Aunt Sara to introduce me to my NEWEST cousin...he should be arriving just any time...and his name is Evan....and I keep waiting....

And let's see my pretty dress just one more time...

Happy Easter!

Easter 2009 has been amazing! It has been so much fun and so very tiring! I am exhausted and reading to hibernate tonight. I have had one great weekend!
It started Friday night with dinner at Great Grandma Filler's house. Me and Levi played a whole lot while the grown ups talked and chased after us. We had beef and noodles for dinner and I really like them. We stayed up later than usual and just played our hearts out! I was not ready to leave when we did, but I was glad after I got in the car and realized just how tired I was!
Saturday morning I took my parents to to get a bow for my hair from the store. Then we went to WalMart to get wrapping paper for my cousin Mason's birthday present. (He had his first birthday party Saturday afternoon.) I walked a bunch at the store and then we headed to Anderson to visit with Grandpa and Grammy Douglas. I walked straight back to the rocking horse when we got there! It is so much fun!!
We had a good lunch and lots of play time there, too. The Easter bunny brought me some great things. I got sidewalk chalk and chocolate and a very cool cup with glitter in it! Mommy and daddy told me we had to leave to head to our next Easter celebration. We drove to Marion to visit with Grandma Donna and Grandpa. I took a power nap in the car (a whole 30 minutes)! I just could not keep my eyes open.
The Easter bunny came to Marion, too! I got a very cool basket with a ball in it, as well as some candy and other toys. I showed grandpa my moves with the ball and then we headed outside for an egg hunt! I found lots of eggs and put them in my basket! I am so good at finding all the eggs. And you won't believe it, but there were goodies INSIDE the eggs!
We had another great meal that night. I got to see lots of family and friends and play until I could barely stand up! We stayed up late again and then had to head home. My parents thought I'd sleep all the way home, but I decided to sing and talk the entire trip! I took a very quick bath once home and then hit the sack!
This morning mommy and daddy woke me up very early. I put on a pretty new dress and we headed to church. I had a big surprise this morning at church. My cousin Levi came to play in the nursery with me! I was so happy!! We had a great time with all my friends. I showed Levi the ropes and how everything works.
After church we headed to Granny Conner's house for ANOTHER great meal and time with family. We had an egg hunt with me and Levi and Mason and there were goodies in those eggs, TOO! The Easter bunny ALSO came to Granny's house!!! I just can't believe he made it to all those houses, but he did!
After a great afternoon we headed home for me to nap. I slept really good and didn't really want to get up. However, I did get up and we headed back to church. Mommy and the kids talked about how Easter has been so very fun but that we can't forget why we REALLY celebrate the day. They talked about Jesus! Daddy talked to the youth about it, too! I got to hear some but I also went to play in the nursery and then in the gym.
We ended the night with some nuggets from McDonalds and then came home. The Easter bunny didn't forget to come to my house either! I got a new puzzle and an ELMO IPOD and some books! I played for a few minutes and then was ready to head back to bed!
Oh it was such a wonderful Easter. I hope you all had a great Easter, too!

What Happens to 20 Month Olds

This is what happens when a 20 month old picks out what she is going to wear after naptime.

This is what happens when a daddy tells a 20 month old, "NO!"

This is what happens when a 20 month old must find ways to entertain herself!
