ACTION PACKED

Listen Guys, my life is just action packed! One would have thought that it would have been boring because we haven't even hardly left the house since it started snowing, but that is just not the case. Wednesday was so fun and we never moved from our place! I got to go get the mail with daddy. I got to see some people he works with. I got to watch Elmo. I got to take a LONG bath. I just played all day and all night!
Then Thursday was quite a surprise for me. My mommy didn't even tell me ahead of time, but when I got up Thursday morning my good cousin Levi was at my house!!! I was so excited I would hardly let mommy change my diaper because I wanted to play. Mommy watched Levi while Uncle Lawrence and Aunt Sara went to a doctor's appointment. They went to check on a new baby cousin that I am going to be getting soon! I THINK I heard that his name is Evan...but I am still thinking maybe Aunt Sara will bring us a little girl and then maybe her name will be Ava. I will be happy either way because that means somebody else to play with!
Anyway, me and Levi had a great time taking all the toys out and playing with them. We watched Madagascar and played with all my toys. When Lawrence and Sara got back we all had lunch together with Grandma Filler. Mommy and daddy even let me have FRENCH FRIES with my chicken!!!
After a short nap my Uncle Patrick came over and he played with me until it was bed time. Oh man it was so fun. I showed him how I write all the time now. I especially like to sit at my table or in my tent and scribble, scribble, scribble!!!
Today was another great day! We did finally leave the house and go to the grocery. It was so bright outside that I HAD to wear my sunglasses! I didn't really like being confined in the cart at Wal Mart, but mommy finally gave me a banana (after daddy paid for it) and then I gave them 5 minutes of peace and quiet!
After dropping off the groceries we picked up my cousin Tabatha and headed to the church. I love that our new building is almost all the way finished because I get to go play in the gym. IT IS SO BIG!!! Today I saw one of the pastor's kids there because they didn't have school. They were playing basketball and I just knew I could go shoot some hoops with them! They are OLD KIDS, so they weren't so sure about me joining the game....so we played in the other half of the gym. It was so great!!! I ran around and I love to scream and hear myself echo in that big room. Mommy took some pictures of our new building and I'll have to show you some soon. You should see the little, bitty bathroom in my new nursery! Man, I can't wait for potty training so I can use that thing!!!!
Tonight me and Tabatha went over to Grandma and Pa Filler's house while daddy and mommy went to have dinner together. YOU WON'T GUESS WHO WAS THERE!?! Levi, Aunt Sara and Uncle Lawrence. Oh man I had a great time, AGAIN!!! Daddy and mommy didn't seem like they were gone long and it was time to go home. Daddy had to go to work!!!
Me and mommy and Tabatha went to my house. Tabatha is spending the night tonight because her and mommy have to get up and go to the church for basketball games in the morning. I get to hang out with Grandma Penticuff while they are gone so I know I'll have another action packed day!!!

No Fit Friday

Today was great! On top of being great, I didn't pitch one fit so it was super great! I don't have long before bed time, but I wanted to tell you a couple of really cool things I got to do today.
First of all, I got to go to our church and PLAY IN OUR NEW GYM!!! Dwight gave me a ball and I got to run around while he was doing a sound check for the basketball games tomorrow. It was so much fun. I felt like a basketball player who was having her name announced in the NBA. The music was pumping and I was dancing and showing everybody my tricks with the ball.
After so much excitement it was time to nap. Once I got up we went to the mall for no other reason than for me to get to run around. It was fabulous!!! I got to ride the choo choo train merry go round and I got to walk all around where ever I wanted. My parents tried a couple of times to steer me in a certain direction, but for the most part they just let me be in charge. SOOO GREAT!!!
I've had my bath, I've had my dinner and now I am winding down for bed. I hear that tomorrow I get to spend the morning and afternoon with Grandma Penticuff. We're going to go to one of my mommy's FAVORITE places to eat (Olive Garden) to celebrate my Great Grandma Sorrell's birthday! I just know it will be so much fun and I also hear they have spaghetti there...that is one of my MOST FAVORITE FOODS! SO, I need to get a good night of rest for another big day tomorrow!

Mostly Quiet Day

Today was a fairly quiet day for me. I got up and had breakfast with mommy and we played for a while. Then daddy got up and played with me. I had a great lunch of apples and spaghetti and then I played some more. We didn't even leave the house at all!
After a morning of quiet play (well all except for the few tantrums I threw just to remind my parents that I am getting close to that glorious age of 2) I took a good nap. I slept for quite a long while. When I got up mommy said we were going to Pa and Grandma's house for dinner.
I was excited when we pulled up outside their house! I got to play some more. The grown ups ate beans and corn bread. I had a few beans and some banana, but I wasn't very hungry yet. I needed some time in the play room to get my stomach ready to eat. So I went down the slide and I played at the diner.
Eventually I was ready for food and decided on sausage links! I ate three of them and had some milk to wash it all down. Me and grandma watched Levi on the computer and then we watched a little Madagascar, too. Me and pa played a bunch and I even showed him how I could take the door stop out of the play room wall!!! I am one strong cookie!
Before I knew it we had to leave so I could get ready for bed. I have been doing such a good job going to bed at night. I don't make a peep and all mommy has to say is, "ready for bed?" I walk right in there and wait for her to tuck me in. I'm doing super with it because it makes mommy excited and I am hoping that makes her forget the fits that I throw during the day!!!!
Well, here is a video of me eating an apple. I don't like for daddy to cut it up for me anymore because I am too grown up. I want to eat it just like the adults!!!

It has been a few days and I would love to write tonight, but my parents are putting me to bed right on time so they can watch some show called LOST. So, I'll just show you some pictures of me from the last few days and promise to write you soon!!!

Oh Happy Day

I had a seriously great day today! The minute I got out of bed mommy said somebody was coming to see me. We went and washed out my eyes (I'll explain later) and changed my diaper and then walked to the living room. At just that moment somebody knocked at my door and it was LEVI!
Levi got to spend the morning with me and mommy. It was so much fun. I was so excited that I couldn't even think about eating breakfast. We played with my kitchen and in my ball pit and we watched a little bit of Madagascar and we danced and all kinds of stuff!!! Mommy even let both of us sit on her lap and we watched videos of the cool stuff we've done on the computer. Our favorite was to watch the Christmas train from the mall.
Grandma Filler came over as soon as her doctor appointment was over. She talked to mommy for a few minutes and watched me and Levi play. I thought everybody was going to stay all day, but before I knew it Grandma was putting Levi's coat on and they were leaving.
Mommy talked to my doctor's office because I've had a little bit of "cold" coming from my eyes the last couple of days and she wanted to see if there was anything she could do for me. Fortunately the doctor said it sounded like just a little infection and he ordered something called eye drops for me. I had no idea what they were but I was sure glad we didn't have to go see the man!!! And mommy said she was sure glad I didn't have pink eyes, whatever that means!!!
So me and mommy continued to play for a bit and I had a little lunch. After I finished eating my tangerines, mommy let me try an OREO COOKIE! Oh it was so good! I ate the white creme in the middle before eating the cookie part. If mommy would have let me, I would have eaten a whole bag of those things...but of course she said, "NO."
After the Oreo I had to take a nap. I didn't really want to go to sleep, but once I did I slept for a couple of hours. When I woke up mommy said we had to try the eye drops. I didn't really care UNTIL she tried to put the drops in my eye. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT IT IS LIKE TO HAVE SOMEBODY PUTTING STUFF IN YOUR EYE BALLS?!?!?! I did not like it and I am not okay with it happening 4 times a day for 5 days! I am hoping to convince my parents that it is not acceptable!!!
I soon forgot all about the drops because I got to go to Pa and Grandma Filler's house while mommy went to the church to watch kids play basketball. I had a lot of fun playing in the toy room and I even found a few new toys that I hadn't seen before!!!
Before I knew it mommy was back and we had to go home. Daddy was there and I thought maybe we'd get some play time...but it was too close to bed time. So we put on my pj's. Mommy tried to do the eye drops again while daddy distracted me. I still hated them!!! My parents let me settle down and then it was time for bed. So, the day was awesome because I got to see my cousin, I got to eat an OREO and I got to go see my grandparents! I was bummed that we didn't go to Granny Conner's house again this Monday...but she isn't feeling very well. Hopefully next Monday we'll be able to go back! CHECK OUT MY OREO FACE!!!!!

One of Those Weeks

Well I just finished up one of those weeks when you wonder if anyone is ever going to be well again!?! I told you that mommy had a stomach bug at the beginning of the week and then my daddy had a bug Thursday night and Friday and everybody we talked to on the phone said it had really been one of those weeks. I don't know anybody who felt really good. My granny is sick, Uncle Patrick is REALLY sick...it was crazy. I wasn't really sick, but I wasn't 100% either.
So, I tell you all of that to say that I had a few pajama days this last week. We stayed home a lot and played. That was a ton of fun, though I was ready to get out of the house by Friday night when I got to spend the evening with Grandma Penticuff. She and I walked right out of the house, leaving my parents behind, and we went to the mall. I had a marvelous time walking around. We ate at MCL and walked around some more. I definitely needed that outing after lots of time at home. I think the only other trip I made throughout the week was to the grocery store and I DID NOT enjoy that!
I'm not sure how this week is shaping up yet. I just haven't decided. This morning I went to church and played in the nursery. Most of my friends went to 1st service, so I missed them because I lounged around the house a bit too long and we barely got there for the beginning of 2nd service! However, I did get to play some and meet a few new kids.
We came home after church and had lunch. THEN I took a 3 hour nap. My schedule was so off this week that I think I tried to catch up on sleep all in one Sunday afternoon. Mommy says when she was growing up she REALLY loved Sunday afternoon naps. Don't let her fool you, she sometimes takes them now, too, but maybe not as much as she used to. Anyway, I've been getting up earlier this week than normal. My parents even tried to keep me up longer at night to get me to sleep in a little bit, but it didn't work. My little clock has just been going off earlier so I haven't had as much sleep.
After my nap this afternoon I wasn't really in the mood to go back to church. Don't get me wrong, I love going to church, but something just wasn't quite right. Mommy called Grandma Filler and she came over to spend the evening with me so mommy and daddy could go teach the kids. I had a good time at home just lounging and playing with grandma. It has been a while since I've just spent some time with her, so it was really great.
Before I knew it, mommy and daddy came home. Daddy went to work, I ate dinner with mommy, grandma and pa, and then it was bed time! I hear through the grapevine that Levi is coming over tomorrow morning to hang out with me. That will be fun. I am not even going to try to stay up too late tonight so I can be really refreshed and ready for a great Monday!

The Usual

I'm learning that sometimes it is nice to say that I had a usual day and nothing profound happened. That is how this week has been for me. Nothing out of the ordinary (except mommy had the stomach flu...but luckily I still had a blast thanks to grandma, Tabatha, Aunt Ruth, Aunt Clata/Uncle Bob, Levi, the Clark girls, and ESPECIALLY DADDY). As usual, I've avoided near death experiences (like my arm being STUCK in the chair and daddy rescuing me). As usual, I've reminded my parents that I am getting closer to the two-year mark when life will supposedly change as we know it (like throwing a fit in the mall yesterday because I just NEEDED that red stroller that looks like a car). As usual, I know ZERO fear (like when I walked around the church business meeting and didn't even care that mommy and daddy were CLEAR ACROSS THE ROOM and I couldn't even see them). Just some usual days.
So, I thought I'd make you up to date on my vocabulary list these days. I know TONS OF WORDS that I choose not to share with anyone, but sometimes I slip and when others say the words I react like "I'm supposed to," but here are the words I choose to verbalize right now!
"chip" - i love these little things, especially the BBQ kind and especially for breakfast when I can get by with it!
"coke" - cookie and Santa Claus. YES, I do say coke for Santa...but really people, isn't it cute?
"cheese" - an oldie, but necessary goody!
"book" - Since I got Madagascar for Christmas I haven't been reading quite as much, but I hear very soon I have to go a whole day without television...so I'm sure I'll be reading a lot.
"fish" - one of my first words and I still say it daily
"pooh" - Yes, that lovable little guy from Hundred Acre Woods. He is my buddy, and speaking of buddy...let's not forget,
"mo" - my other buddy, whose Christmas special I've watched 3 times since Christmas!
"badabe" - yes, that is baby...I thought it needed just an extra syllable to make is sound even cuter!
"dog" - sometimes I just make a dog sound...but sometimes I pull out all the stops and say DOG
"yeye" - that is Levi....I'M WORKING ON IT PEOPLE!!!
"nana" - banana, I Love This Fruit. Even if I just see it on television I must immediately have one!
"ball" - no explanation needed
"weeeeee" - this generally means something FUN is happening
"bubble" - yep, bubble

Well, this list may leave out a few, but I am hoping you are beginning to see that I am mastering this whole language thing. Of course I know mama, dada (even though I am choosing to call HIM mama, too, right now), pa, etc. I'd say all in all, I'll be talking up a storm in NO TIME FLAT!!!

Happy New Year!

Somebody said that what you do on New Year's Day is what you will do a lot through out the year. I am just fine with that! I had a wonderful day that could be summed up in a few words: family, play, and chips.
My day started out with some daddy and me time. We let mommy sleep in a little bit and I know she was very happy for that! Not that I understand the whole thing, but there was something about some ball dropping at a very late hour last night and lots of people stayed up to watch it. I think it is a bit ridiculous, but you know there are lots of things that grown ups do that I think is ridiculous!!!
So I had breakfast (cheese and oatmeal) and then we woke mommy up and everybody started getting ready for the day. My Grandma and Grandpa Penticuff came over and told me we were going to have a birthday party for Aunt Emily. Adam and Christy and Emily came and then later Tim came, too. We had a very nice time. Grandpa put together my new desk and chair and I just LOVE the whole thing. I played in my band...that is right...I formed a band and I am the drummer. Seriously people, I can keep a MEAN BEAT! I drummed until I couldn't drum anymore and I just HAD to get a nap.
During my nap everybody said goodbye to Emily and Tim because they are leaving very early in the morning to go back to Texas. It was a tearful bit, so I decided it best to stay in bed...I just hate goodbyes!!!
After my nap we went to Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Filler's house to visit. Cousin Levi was there and we played some. He had to leave before I did because he had to take a little nap. I was upset at first because I didn't get very much time to be with him, but THANKFULLY I found out that he was coming to MY HOUSE!!!
Grandma and Pa Filler, Lawrence, Sara, Patrick and Levi all came over and we ate McDonalds and played. The grown ups played video games and me and Levi played with Pa. Grandma and Pa had to leave and me and Levi decided to be night owls. We stayed up past my bedtime and our parents didn't even make us go to bed!!! Oh man it was FUN TIMES!
See? Doesn't that sound like a great day? I got to see lots of family and I got to play until I couldn't play anymore and I ate lots of chips over the course of the day (but I did eat some chicken and bananas, too). So here is a little video of my best work on the drums. I hope you enjoy my rendition of American Woman!
