Perks of Feeling Good

Today was a great day. I wasn't sure because me and mommy were up from 1 to 4am. I just wasn't tired for some reason. But when I got up this morning I was feeling pretty good. Mommy asked Grandma Filler to go with us swimming so she wasn't alone with us in the pool. She thought it might be a good idea to have another person, just in case. So grandma came over and we went to Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie's house! They have a pool in their backyard!

Alyssa let us in the house and I showed her that I can say "ball" now and I waved bye to her, too. Me and mommy had a good time in the pool. Grandma watched us and took pictures. She also walked around with me when I wanted to take a break from the water. You just won't believe it but Alyssa had already put 4 balls in the pool so I had a bunch to play with!

After swimming I got dressed and we went to lunch. I never knew swimming would make me so hungry. We went to Wendy's because it was close to my house and I had oranges and crackers and a little bit of hamburger...but I didn't really like the hamburger. I also had apple juice.

We came home and me and mommy played for about an hour before I decided to take a nap. I took a good nap since I didn't sleep as much last night.

When I got up we played some more! I really liked playing with my new purse that Aunt Sara and Uncle Lawrence got me for my birthday. I even know how to put on the lipstick. Mommy only had to show me 3 times and now I do it all by myself!! Seriously, I am WAY SMART I think.

Daddy came home and we had dinner. I ate some of a wrap, watermelon and goldfish crackers. Of course I had my juice, too! Then all three of us played until it was time for me to take a bath. Mommy and daddy let me play in the big people's shower and I cracked up because it tickles my back and my feet when the water comes out!!!

I got all clean, had my milk and then headed to bed. All that fun wore me out! Tomorrow me and mommy are going to do some last minute shopping for my birthday party on Saturday and then maybe me and mommy and daddy are gonna do something special together tomorrow night since it is the weekend and daddy will be off work. Surprise, Surprise

So this morning when mommy got me out of bed I could tell that we both felt a bit better. We played for a few minutes and then mommy said we should get ready and try to get everything done before daddy's work day is over. I thought that was a good idea, so I got in my bath tub while mommy washed her hair next to me. Everything was fine and I was playing and having a good time. I decided that it was time to see if mommy was REALLY feeling better! I looked up at her while she was putting a towel on her head and gave her a stinker smile. THEN I went to the bathroom in my tub!

Oh Man! You should have seen mommy!!! I stood right up before she even knew what was happening! Once she realized it though, she didn't laugh as much as I thought she would. She DID go into over drive and got me out of the bathtub and in to get me ready REALLY FAST! She had to do some cleaning while I watched to supervise. She called Grandma Filler and asked for the best approach and grandma said that her and granny were two streets away getting granny ready for her big trip she is getting ready to go on.

So they came by and laughed with me. Then they said that they would go to the store with us and to lunch. This was the first day I had been out for a while and it was fun. We went to the party store and then to DQ for lunch. I had chicken and applejuice. Even though we only went to one store, I was getting a bit tired. We came home and I took a little nap.

When I got up we left again!!!!! We went to WalMart to get me food and then we had to go to the post office to get stamps and mail some stuff. Then we came home and cleaned so it would be nice when daddy got home. We also worked on mommy's flowers. She hasn't been watering them or getting rid of weeds so they looked BAD! We worked on them and I played in the water. Then we went for a walk and ate dinner. I got another bath and this time I had to have my face washed (I hate that)!

FINALLY DADDY CAME HOME!!! It was almost my bed time but I found some time to play with him first. We had a good time and then he put me to bed tonight. SHEESH, busy day! I hear tomorrow we might go swimming if it doesn't rain! Poor Cousin Levi has to go have shots tomorrow! YIKES, glad I don't have to go yet!!! Swimming sounds way more fun!

Disinfect This Joint

Welp, not much to say today except that now mommy and daddy are both sick and I have gone from 95% yesterday to about 90% today. Mommy says tomorrow we have got to disinfect this joint!!!! We didn't do much today. I was whiny, mommy was whiny and daddy came home tonight not feeling the greatest. I did perk up a little bit when daddy played with me a few minutes. I also played some with my new toys from my birthday party, but mostly me and mommy just had a whiny day. Here are a couple of pics for you.

Meatloaf Monday

Yesterday was an unusual Sunday for me and my family. I was feeling yucky and mommy was feeling yucky so we decided to stay in all day. I had been up 6 times in the middle of the night and so we didn't get any good sleep and so we stayed in our pj's and hung out around the house. I played with lots of my new toys and daddy played with me a bunch. Mommy played some, but she mostly laid on the couch and blew her nose every 5 seconds and coughed about every 10 minutes! I think maybe I gave her my yuckiness from the last few days, but she said it was okay because at least I had a great time and me and Levi's party!

So today I wasn't sure what we were going to do. Mommy said we could still go to Granny Conner's house because I was feeling a bit better. It was just me and granny and grandma and mommy today. FOUR GENERATIONS all in one room...and I think we are all crazy! But it was fun crazy!!! I played and read my book and ate a really good lunch. Mommy was so proud of me because I ate green beans and normally I just spit them out. I also had granny's meatloaf, which mommy says it the best meatloaf I will ever taste...she says no restaurant can ever make that meatloaf. Mommy says it is one of her favorite things granny makes...that and sugar-coffee-pancakes...but that sounds kind of crazy and she says I can't have those for a long time.

After we left granny's house I came home and took my nap...I was actually back on my normal schedule again today after a bunch of days off of it!!! I took a good nap and then I went to Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Filler's house. I cheered them up some because Great-great aunt Ruth passed away Saturday. So I spent some time with them tonight.

Me and mommy came home tonight and daddy was home! We played and he gave me some oatmeal and I ate some of mommy's noodles and graham crackers and then it was time to hit the bed. It was a really good day! I am still not 100% yet, but I am about 95% and that is better than yesterday, so I am hoping if I sleep really good tonight I will be back to normal tomorrow.

CELEBRATION #1

I've had my first of my three celebrations and I LOVED IT! Man, it was all about me and Levi! We played in cake, we opened presents, we chased balloons....ahhhh...it was a good day. Let me just show you some pictures of my first party! I'll send you some more, Carol!!!!

Let the Celebrations Begin!!!

Yes, technically I do not turn one until August 6th, but the parties begin NOW!!! That is right, today is my first birthday party. I got to see my play cake that mommy made last night and I know there is wrapping paper in the living room!!!!!!! I am so excited because mommy says I get to celebrate turning one THREE TIMES!!! One time today with bunches of people, one time next Saturday with bunches of people and then on the real day I was born, me and mommy and daddy get to have a little celebration just the three of us! Seriously people, this birthday party thing is AMAZING!
Yes, I have a cold and so we're all praying that I feel good today...but how could I not when I get to have a party today with Levi!?!?! Okay, I need to sleep some more so I'm ready for the big event. I'll post some pictures later after the festivities are over!!!

Fallen Off the Face of the Earth?

Nope, I haven't jumped ship...I'm still here. I'll tell you, VBS week is so busy but I am having a blast!!! My parents assure me that as soon as it is over I will have my old bed time back and I think I'm okay with that. It has been fun to stay out just a little later this week so I can hang out with my friends, though. Usually I get to go really early and play ball with Caleb and then all the other little kids come and I go downstairs to my classroom to play with them.
I've been eating some interesting things for dinner. Lots of fresh fruit, one night I had chicken sticks and another night I tried fish sticks. Last night I had a frozen banana and I loved it!!! Of course the older kids got chocolate on their banana, but I am sure mine was just as good!!! I used crayons for the first time and I think mommy is going to put it on our fridge. I've played ball, I've walked and crawled all over the church and I've met so many new people this week. I know mommy is tired cause she is teaching LOTS AND LOTS of first and second graders, but I think we'll both be a little sad when we sing our last song tonight at the end!!!!! They are still posting pictures of what has been happening on the church website, but I'm not sure if I'm in a bunch or not...
Today me and mommy and Aunt Sara and Levi and Layla (Aunt Sara and Levi's friend) went to pick out our birthday cake!! I think it is going to be very nice but I was more interested in the ball full of popcorn. For some reason I wasn't allowed to play with it and it didn't make me terribly happy!!! After we got all the birthday cake stuff done we went to lunch together. I saw the hostess about die when we walked in, 2 almost 1-year-olds, Layla (who i think is five) and 2 mommies. They put us back in a corner...HA HA HA!!!! Oh well, we didn't care a bit. The food was good and so was the apple juice!
Well, we're about to head back to the church but I wanted to let everybody know I am still alive. Man, Uncle Patrick has been trying to come and see me for days but we're never home...I will tell him that life will kind of go back to normal in a day or so...I'll try to write more later and show you some pictures from my week!!!
