Perks of Feeling Good

Today was a great day. I wasn't sure because me and mommy were up from 1 to 4am. I just wasn't tired for some reason. But when I got up this morning I was feeling pretty good. Mommy asked Grandma Filler to go with us swimming so she wasn't alone with us in the pool. She thought it might be a good idea to have another person, just in case. So grandma came over and we went to Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie's house! They have a pool in their backyard!

Alyssa let us in the house and I showed her that I can say "ball" now and I waved bye to her, too. Me and mommy had a good time in the pool. Grandma watched us and took pictures. She also walked around with me when I wanted to take a break from the water. You just won't believe it but Alyssa had already put 4 balls in the pool so I had a bunch to play with!

After swimming I got dressed and we went to lunch. I never knew swimming would make me so hungry. We went to Wendy's because it was close to my house and I had oranges and crackers and a little bit of hamburger...but I didn't really like the hamburger. I also had apple juice.

We came home and me and mommy played for about an hour before I decided to take a nap. I took a good nap since I didn't sleep as much last night.

When I got up we played some more! I really liked playing with my new purse that Aunt Sara and Uncle Lawrence got me for my birthday. I even know how to put on the lipstick. Mommy only had to show me 3 times and now I do it all by myself!! Seriously, I am WAY SMART I think.

Daddy came home and we had dinner. I ate some of a wrap, watermelon and goldfish crackers. Of course I had my juice, too! Then all three of us played until it was time for me to take a bath. Mommy and daddy let me play in the big people's shower and I cracked up because it tickles my back and my feet when the water comes out!!!

I got all clean, had my milk and then headed to bed. All that fun wore me out! Tomorrow me and mommy are going to do some last minute shopping for my birthday party on Saturday and then maybe me and mommy and daddy are gonna do something special together tomorrow night since it is the weekend and daddy will be off work. Surprise, Surprise

So this morning when mommy got me out of bed I could tell that we both felt a bit better. We played for a few minutes and then mommy said we should get ready and try to get everything done before daddy's work day is over. I thought that was a good idea, so I got in my bath tub while mommy washed her hair next to me. Everything was fine and I was playing and having a good time. I decided that it was time to see if mommy was REALLY feeling better! I looked up at her while she was putting a towel on her head and gave her a stinker smile. THEN I went to the bathroom in my tub!

Oh Man! You should have seen mommy!!! I stood right up before she even knew what was happening! Once she realized it though, she didn't laugh as much as I thought she would. She DID go into over drive and got me out of the bathtub and in to get me ready REALLY FAST! She had to do some cleaning while I watched to supervise. She called Grandma Filler and asked for the best approach and grandma said that her and granny were two streets away getting granny ready for her big trip she is getting ready to go on.

So they came by and laughed with me. Then they said that they would go to the store with us and to lunch. This was the first day I had been out for a while and it was fun. We went to the party store and then to DQ for lunch. I had chicken and applejuice. Even though we only went to one store, I was getting a bit tired. We came home and I took a little nap.

When I got up we left again!!!!! We went to WalMart to get me food and then we had to go to the post office to get stamps and mail some stuff. Then we came home and cleaned so it would be nice when daddy got home. We also worked on mommy's flowers. She hasn't been watering them or getting rid of weeds so they looked BAD! We worked on them and I played in the water. Then we went for a walk and ate dinner. I got another bath and this time I had to have my face washed (I hate that)!

FINALLY DADDY CAME HOME!!! It was almost my bed time but I found some time to play with him first. We had a good time and then he put me to bed tonight. SHEESH, busy day! I hear tomorrow we might go swimming if it doesn't rain! Poor Cousin Levi has to go have shots tomorrow! YIKES, glad I don't have to go yet!!! Swimming sounds way more fun!

Disinfect This Joint

Welp, not much to say today except that now mommy and daddy are both sick and I have gone from 95% yesterday to about 90% today. Mommy says tomorrow we have got to disinfect this joint!!!! We didn't do much today. I was whiny, mommy was whiny and daddy came home tonight not feeling the greatest. I did perk up a little bit when daddy played with me a few minutes. I also played some with my new toys from my birthday party, but mostly me and mommy just had a whiny day. Here are a couple of pics for you.

Meatloaf Monday

Yesterday was an unusual Sunday for me and my family. I was feeling yucky and mommy was feeling yucky so we decided to stay in all day. I had been up 6 times in the middle of the night and so we didn't get any good sleep and so we stayed in our pj's and hung out around the house. I played with lots of my new toys and daddy played with me a bunch. Mommy played some, but she mostly laid on the couch and blew her nose every 5 seconds and coughed about every 10 minutes! I think maybe I gave her my yuckiness from the last few days, but she said it was okay because at least I had a great time and me and Levi's party!

So today I wasn't sure what we were going to do. Mommy said we could still go to Granny Conner's house because I was feeling a bit better. It was just me and granny and grandma and mommy today. FOUR GENERATIONS all in one room...and I think we are all crazy! But it was fun crazy!!! I played and read my book and ate a really good lunch. Mommy was so proud of me because I ate green beans and normally I just spit them out. I also had granny's meatloaf, which mommy says it the best meatloaf I will ever taste...she says no restaurant can ever make that meatloaf. Mommy says it is one of her favorite things granny makes...that and sugar-coffee-pancakes...but that sounds kind of crazy and she says I can't have those for a long time.

After we left granny's house I came home and took my nap...I was actually back on my normal schedule again today after a bunch of days off of it!!! I took a good nap and then I went to Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma Filler's house. I cheered them up some because Great-great aunt Ruth passed away Saturday. So I spent some time with them tonight.

Me and mommy came home tonight and daddy was home! We played and he gave me some oatmeal and I ate some of mommy's noodles and graham crackers and then it was time to hit the bed. It was a really good day! I am still not 100% yet, but I am about 95% and that is better than yesterday, so I am hoping if I sleep really good tonight I will be back to normal tomorrow.

CELEBRATION #1

I've had my first of my three celebrations and I LOVED IT! Man, it was all about me and Levi! We played in cake, we opened presents, we chased balloons....ahhhh...it was a good day. Let me just show you some pictures of my first party! I'll send you some more, Carol!!!!

Let the Celebrations Begin!!!

Yes, technically I do not turn one until August 6th, but the parties begin NOW!!! That is right, today is my first birthday party. I got to see my play cake that mommy made last night and I know there is wrapping paper in the living room!!!!!!! I am so excited because mommy says I get to celebrate turning one THREE TIMES!!! One time today with bunches of people, one time next Saturday with bunches of people and then on the real day I was born, me and mommy and daddy get to have a little celebration just the three of us! Seriously people, this birthday party thing is AMAZING!
Yes, I have a cold and so we're all praying that I feel good today...but how could I not when I get to have a party today with Levi!?!?! Okay, I need to sleep some more so I'm ready for the big event. I'll post some pictures later after the festivities are over!!!

Fallen Off the Face of the Earth?

Nope, I haven't jumped ship...I'm still here. I'll tell you, VBS week is so busy but I am having a blast!!! My parents assure me that as soon as it is over I will have my old bed time back and I think I'm okay with that. It has been fun to stay out just a little later this week so I can hang out with my friends, though. Usually I get to go really early and play ball with Caleb and then all the other little kids come and I go downstairs to my classroom to play with them.
I've been eating some interesting things for dinner. Lots of fresh fruit, one night I had chicken sticks and another night I tried fish sticks. Last night I had a frozen banana and I loved it!!! Of course the older kids got chocolate on their banana, but I am sure mine was just as good!!! I used crayons for the first time and I think mommy is going to put it on our fridge. I've played ball, I've walked and crawled all over the church and I've met so many new people this week. I know mommy is tired cause she is teaching LOTS AND LOTS of first and second graders, but I think we'll both be a little sad when we sing our last song tonight at the end!!!!! They are still posting pictures of what has been happening on the church website, but I'm not sure if I'm in a bunch or not...
Today me and mommy and Aunt Sara and Levi and Layla (Aunt Sara and Levi's friend) went to pick out our birthday cake!! I think it is going to be very nice but I was more interested in the ball full of popcorn. For some reason I wasn't allowed to play with it and it didn't make me terribly happy!!! After we got all the birthday cake stuff done we went to lunch together. I saw the hostess about die when we walked in, 2 almost 1-year-olds, Layla (who i think is five) and 2 mommies. They put us back in a corner...HA HA HA!!!! Oh well, we didn't care a bit. The food was good and so was the apple juice!
Well, we're about to head back to the church but I wanted to let everybody know I am still alive. Man, Uncle Patrick has been trying to come and see me for days but we're never home...I will tell him that life will kind of go back to normal in a day or so...I'll try to write more later and show you some pictures from my week!!!

Older and Wiser

As I am getting older I am realizing just how awesome everything is...well, everything but the car seat. Thank goodness for my favorite music that can distract me from the fact that I am LOCKED into a seat!!!

Anyway, I just love VBS. I had my own class tonight and it was so great. If you want to check out pictures from tonight you can go to http://www.oldtownhill.com/ and click on VBS SUNDAY NIGHT. There is even a picture of me in the slide show. I tried fish sticks tonight and I also had fresh fruit and puffs. I loved all of it!!! I got to play with my friends and I even met some new friends. (Yes, I know the font is different, but I don't know what I hit to make it change.)

Just to catch you up, I spent the day with my Great-Great Aunt Clata on Friday so mommy could finish up her room and I wouldn't eat the shells on the floor!! I had a great time and even took a little nap for her! Then I got to go back to church with mommy and grandma and Jenney and Amy. They worked some more and I played with a ball. AND THEN I got to see my daddy who I hadn't seen in almost 3 days. We played until bedtime and it was GREAT!

Saturday was mommy's birthday so we went to breakfast with Grandpa and Grandma Penticuff, Uncle Adam and Christy. It was good and I liked the oranges and melon that I tried for the first time. Afterwards, daddy and mommy went to watch a movie (daddy has been waiting for this movie to come out all summer). I went with grandpa and grandma to Aunt Debbie's rummage sale and then we got me some new shoes (Yep...my parents are REALLY serious about wearing the shoes). We also walked around Lowes. Again, more fun for me!

Mommy and daddy got home and, after playing some more, I took a nap. Saturday night we went back to church one more time to make sure nothing in mommy's room fell down. We went to Dairy Queen and I got NOTHING because my parents are all crazy thinking I shouldn't eat sweets because if I don't start I'll make healthy decisions later in life. I know some day I will thank them for it, but yesterday was not the day. We wouldn't have gone but it was mommy's birthday and she just wanted a chocolate sundae. I wasn't really mad at them for eating in front of me...but I reminded them that THEY HAVE TO MAKE HEALTHY DECISIONS, TOO!!! What is that saying...??? Monkey see...Monkey do!

Okay, so this morning we went to church and I played in the nursery and had a great time. Then lunch, then NAP, then VBS..and I already told you it was AWESOME! Two Words for Ya...BUSY BEE!

Okay, so last year for Vacation Bible School I was in my mommy's tummy about ready to enter this world to entertain everybody. This year I am seeing a whole other side of VBS! Really people, if you could see what my grandma and me and mommy and Jenney and Amy are doing to our church, you'd really want to come next week!!! We are working our tails off! We've transformed the front of the church into a lagoon, complete with a waterfall and 17 ft. canoe!! We've started the hallway, where the bottom is all coral with fishies and the top is all ocean water...and I can't even tell you all the other things we are doing because it is TOP SECRET! Tomorrow me and mommy and Jenney and Amy will work on mommy's room. Her room is going to be a beach hut by the ocean.
Now when I say that I am helping...I really am. I am crawling all over and making sure people are securing things tightly. If they aren't secure, I move them just so everyone knows what is up. I am also playing with the associate pastor so he is in a good mood and helps grandma move BIG pieces of cardboard from the basement!!! One smile from me and those people do pretty much anything I want. Probably tomorrow we'll have some pictures for you to see of our hard work...mommy's camera is M.I.A. right now...we think maybe daddy has it.
Daddy has been a serious busy bee, too. I've not even seen him since 2 days ago! He gets up really early and goes to the gym and then works until late at night when I'm already sawing logs in my bed. Mommy says I'll probably see him tomorrow night.
Tomorrow I get to go spend some time with my Great Aunt Clata and Great Uncle Bob. I got to go over there for a few today in the afternoon and I get to spend most of the morning and early afternoon over there tomorrow. I had a good time. I needed a little break from the work at church, so I played with pots and pans and spoons in the front yard, I played with all the toys Aunt Clata got out for me and I looked all over her house at the pretty butterflies everywhere. It was a really good time and I'll be there longer tomorrow because mommy really has to get her room done. BUT I will go back to the church after my nap and make sure everybody is getting it done the way I think looks good. I call it the Lynley Seal of Approval!
Welp, I have gotta get a lot of sleep because I have been working and walking all around the church. You would not believe how long the halls are and the aisle ways!!! My walking is getting REALLY AWESOME because I have so much room to practice!!! Have a GOOD NIGHT!!

Growing Up is Hard...But There ARE perks!

Yesterday was a great Sunday. I got to go to the nursery in the morning and at night to play with all my friends. Caleb even fixed my hair when it was "messed up." I was so glad cause I didn't even know I had enough hair to be messed up!
I got to play with daddy a bunch because mommy had a meeting ALL afternoon!!! Thank goodness she was home after my nap, I thought she was gone forever. Me and daddy had wrestle mania when he tried to put on my shoes. These are my play shoes...so my mommy calls them...and I don't like them. Mom tried to feed me some line about growing up means wearing shoes, but I'm pretty sure there is some place in the world where even grown ups don't have to wear them. I'm looking to get a passport and move to one of those places!!!!

Today is Monday and that meant we got to go to Granny Conner's house! She had the place all ready when we got there. All the doors were shut to the rooms I can't go in and the bench was in front of the television because I like to get under it and play. She was fast today! Usually I get one good NO NO before they get it all Lynley-proofed!

I played for a bit but I was really missing my partner in crime, a.k.a. LEVI! Just about the time I had forgotten all the stuff I could get into, HE CAME IN!!! YEAH...Lynley and Levi...going places no other baby has gone...but still not being able to get into the closed doors!

We did go play in granny's bedroom and found the cat! AND we found the OTHER side of the television has a secret place to get around the back of it to the wires!!! I bet next week it will be covered up, too, because of the way our mommies responded!

You'll never guess what we discovered for the very first time! GRANNY HAS AN ORGAN IN HER LIVING ROOM. All these months we've been crawling under it, but today we could see over the top and found keys. Granny turned it on and we got to play some tunes!!! WOOWEE, I bet we would have never known it was there if we weren't growing so fast that we could actually SEE WHAT WAS UP THERE!!!! After that we left NO TABLE unturned. I just had to know what else was in the living room that I hadn't seen before.

Man, it has been a busy day already. I'm ready for a nap and then we'll have dinner with daddy. I hear this will be a pretty low-key night, whatever that means....We'll see. Enjoy the pictures of me not liking my shoes and Lynley & Levi the Master Musicians!!!

The Fun Continues...

Yesterday was a WONDERFUL day! Me and mommy went to New Castle to spend the day with my friend Caleb. It was so much fun. I got to play with all his toys and he rolled a ball with me. He also has a motorcycle that he rides around his living room and I climbed all over it. I didn't ride it, though. Mommy said I need to be a little bigger. So I played and played and played. We left about my nap time and I slept all the way home.
When daddy got off work, I got to go to Grandma and Grandpa Filler's house for an hour so my mommy and daddy could have dinner together. I really wanted them to be gone longer because I was playing in my play room, but they just ate really fast and then came to pick me up!
We came home and Uncle Patrick came over. I didn't get to see him a real long time because it was bedtime. But while I was up I got a hold of the Wii remote!!!! I've been wanting that thing for months and just when Patrick wasn't looking, I got it!! It was quickly taken away, but I felt like I had just made a BIG accomplishment!
This morning I got my clothes on and then we got in the car, FOR A LONG TIME!!! I did pretty well for a while, then I got tired and cranky and finally fell asleep. Daddy and mommy laughed because I fell asleep about 10 minutes before our exit, but I did get a pretty good power nap because they had to find a place to park.
So, let me tell you about this place I went. Aunt Sara talked to mommy about it the other night and it is something called an outlet mall. I got in my big stroller and went to what felt like a BILLION stores! I loved them so much, especially the ones with other kids in them...and we went to a BUNCH of those. I was so good. I talked to other babies and kids and I pulled down all the clothes I wanted. For some reason mommy and daddy didn't buy EVERYTHING I pulled down, but it was fun anyway.
We stopped after a bit for something to eat. We walked to Ruby Tuesdays and I did an excellent job. I had bread and a couple of french fries and a banana and a bit of mommy's hamburger. It was really good. I also had some fruit juice.
After lunch it was BACK TO SHOPPING!!! Seriously, I could shop for a living I think! I got my foot measured and I got a few clothes and it was just absolutely a blast!!! Mommy was a little sad for a while because the ONLY STORE I CRIED IN WAS THE COACH OUTLET!!! These ladies kept telling me someday I would want a lot of Coach Purses, but right now they just do NOTHING FOR ME! I think Daddy was quite excited about that! So, mommy walked around the store and me and daddy headed outside to wait. You would not believe all the WOMEN in that store...and they all acted crazy like that stuff was gold-encrusted cheerios or something! Really? It made no sense to me...but mommy sure liked it!
So we shopped till I was ready to drop. In the last store I tried to stand up in my stroller!!! HA HA, I thought it was hilarious, but mommy did NOT laugh. I tried 2 times and then she strapped me in. I was ready to get out of there after that.
I was asleep before we left the parking lot! I was so worn out!!! 30 minutes later I was back up and telling my parents that we needed to be home NOW! They had the nerve to laugh at me...a lot. I did get them to feed me ice pellets...that was good. As soon as I got home it was PLAY TIME! I'm using the last of my energy to tell you about my day...and I'll be going to bed very soon!!

Busy, Busy Lady

I have been a busy lady this week! I've been swimming at Grandma Filler's house, shopping for Levi's birthday, taking walks, eating real food, going to church and making the living room as messy as possible. I am REALLY good at the last one! I've gotten to hang out with all my friends at church and the Clark girls on Monday and mommy's friends on Tuesday and Caleb on Wednesday! AND let me mention that my walking skills are coming along smashingly!

Anyway, this busy lady is going to Aunt Sara and Uncle Lawrence's house for dinner tonight and I bet I'm gonna swim some more in Levi's pool! AND tomorrow I am going to the park with Caleb and Karen...at least I think that is what I heard. It has just really been a good few days. I'll write more either tonight or tomorrow. I've been getting behind! Enjoy the pictures.

Extended 4th of July

Well I could get used to having holidays 2 days in a row! After a great 4th of July yesterday, I got to have ANOTHER 4th today on the 5th!!!! I don't even know where to begin. Me and mommy and daddy went over to Uncle Greg and Aunt Debbie's house. They have a new kitchen and it sure is pretty. I watched Uncle Greg while he touched up some paint before everybody got there. Then I got to put my feet in their pool. I wasn't going to swim today because it was so cold in the water, but I really liked having my feet in there so daddy came home and got my suit!

I swam for a while and then I got a warm towel and sat out by the pool with Grandma Penticuff. WE ate some cheese and crackers and talked to everybody while the young pups were in the pool. (Well, mom and dad aren't young pups...but everybody else in the pool was a young pup.)

Well, after swimming and eating we came home so I could take a nap. I was so tired that I fell asleep right when we got in the car. I slept a couple of hours and then mommy and daddy woke me up. I changed clothes and then we headed to Great Grandpa and Great Grandma Sorrell's house. We had a great dinner. I had beans, corn and strawberries. I played with my cousin Alex and watched the big kids.

You won't believe how late I was up! I was trying really hard to stay awake for fireworks. They started about 9:45pm, and I laid my head on mommy and watched some. I did well and only jumped a few times at the noise. For the most part I loved it...I was just way tired!!! I cried most of the way home just so my parents understood that I was way tired!!! We came and daddy got me ready for bed and mommy rocked me. It was 11:00pm the last time I looked at the clock!!!!!!!!! Here a few pics! The one of me looking way tired cracks me up!
